Good parking but check in was really painful. There was a problem with ******* not providing a virtual payment for the hotel (but I already paid to *******), the help line was not helpful and ******* gave us a US-‘toll free’ number to call from NZ! All this was very unpleasant for us for check-in...the reception could have given us a room first (******* had already confirmed payment), but we had to sit through 1.5 hours late at night without access to our room. We missed our dinner appointment and it was a really bad start to the holiday. The motel was actually quite run down in parts and there were areas of the room not well-cleaned (toilet/bathroom an example).

Owners are theft and will charge your card when you’ve never stayed! Never stayed or booked here and they charged my card $240 and refused to refund even though I’ve never contacted them. April the “manager” was completely condensending, rude and abusive.

Lovely room with very comfy bed, exceptionally clean & tidy. Very welcoming manager. Fantastic that we could leave our car here while having a procedure at the hospital. Value for money for sure. So it says I need a minimum 200 characters for my review. Is this enough now?

Facilities were okay. Room included couch and 2 chairs, dining table and 4 chairs. Well stocked kitchen with hot plate, microwave and good service of cutlery and crockery. Good supply of Tea, Coffee and Sugar bags. Supplied with milk on entry. Quality of furniture was basic and badly stained. Carpet was stained and needed a good commercial clean. Bathroom was higher quality with spa bath, shower (glass screen divider and open) and bench, basin hot and cold water. The condiments and hair dryer were good quality. Linen was well supplied, clean and readily available in bathroom, but bed covers in sleeping area was stained. TV was a challenge and to get the minimal Sky Chanels required an element of technical knowledge. Parking was adequate and available for the stay, but not assigned to accomodation unit. Reception was pleasant. We are reasonably knowledgeable users of this style of accomodation, having owned a 30 unit Motor Inn in a medium sized NZ city environment. This accomodation would be fringe at best. Its location makes it convenient for its proximity to Wellington Hospital and access to good quality eating places within walking distance. Its competition is probably similar and pricing comparative. Pricing was considered to be on the high side. Star grading if used is minus 3. Under a grading system to assess quality overall, 2 is generous.

I have stayed here previously, I booked again and the day of my stay the motel rang to say they double booked the room. And being a but stressed as I was ready to leave and go down the day this happened, said you better help me f$&king find something, he then started to call me a mother f$&ker several times and if I ever went to his motel he would kill me, as I said it was my bad first for swearing but this was over the top threatening. Located directly across from Wellington Hospital which made it ideal for me to stay close to my sick father. Room types to suit your needs. We stayed in a Studio room for 2x nights. Good room rate and had everything we needed; kitchenette, hot shower, balcony, comfy kingsize bed and pillows. Cozy room. Would recommend to family and friends and would stay again.

Good location and close to shops

I stayed here for 2 and a half weeks whilst a family member was ill in the hospital. The people are very helpful and friendly as are all staff. They were most kind and asked after my relative…BUT The place is filthy. I stayed in different rooms and all were poorly cleaned. The chairs and sofas were so dirty on the armcaps…they need a proper professional steam clean as do the carpets. There was mould in a lot the grouting of the showers…it needs a sprays of a bleach based mould remover. The rooms smell. Bedding and towels are clean but that is outsourced. I have cleaned motels myself as a job so I know what standard it should be. Further down the road I stayed for a night in a cheaper place which was spotless. I did compliment them on their friendliness when leaving but also mentioned the above. I do hope they take note and rectify the standards in future.

Lovely clean hotel. Stayed one night due to having partner in hospital. I have a 9 month old and we got a ground floor room accessible for the pram easy to shower with wet floor shower. Very clean even had a porta cot so I didn’t need to use up space or worry about bringing one. Staff could have been friendlier but still nice. Will most likely stay again at some stage in the future
