We stayed in a family room,all was clean on arrival we didnt get travel cot we did request to have one set up. So i manged to get one ourself from reception,my daugher wouldnt sleep my son couldn't sleep too hot,on 2nd day my son had meltdown multiple times during night which resulted in next door room banging on the wall as he woke them up, My lad is autistic obviously cant handle his emotions or tell us what he needs as hes non verbal. Nexttime illl inform the hotel not to put anyone next doors due to my room due to my sons late meltdowns. Also the outside of hotel could do with some decrations to make it look more inviting like plant pots.

Southampton is a city in England. It's by the sea and has a busy port. People visit its historic sites like the Tudor House and SeaCity Museum. The city has parks, shopping, and cultural events. Southampton is known for its maritime history and diverse attractions, making it a vibrant place to explore. The hotel is about 10 mins drive from the city centre and it offers free parking. Nice Xmas jumpers of staffs 😊

The hotel was clean and the room was spacious. Staff were courteous and friendly Plenty of parking.

Good value overall. As we paid quite a low price, we can't complain. The room was fine and the main bed was comfortable; but the sofa bed for our two children was really terrible. It had a thin lumpy mattress and was rather small for a double. The W.C. didn't work particularly well and took ages. Nice shower though, and a good supply of toiletries. Breakfast was included in the price but was disappointing. Not much choice and horrible coffee. Acceptable at low price for one night for a couple, but we wouldn't want to spend longer here with the family.

Nice clean hotel , everything worked , bed very comfortable! Receptionist phoned shortly after arrival to check if everything was ok which I thought was a nice touch .

Nice hotel, very clean, good location, comfortable rooms, excellent breakfast, free parking, reasonable price. On the negative side, they have a parking lot monitoring service which takes photos of "unauthorized" vehicles parking in their lot. The hotel front desk doesn't tell you about this when you check in or issue a parking pass to put in your windshield, and doesn't offer to validate your parking. The first you hear about it is when you receive a photo of your car with a nasty little citation in your email. The parking lot monitoring service claims there are signs in the parking lot telling you to scan a QR code to visit a website to validate your parking. The reality is, I didn't see any signs and this is the second time I've encountered this at a Holiday Inn Express in the UK. Next time I'll know to ask.

Upon returning home after a week’s holiday we find a car parking fine from the hotel car park site, at no point did we see any notice re parking and was not advised at check in re this. We feel it’s very poor not not be advised by staff upon checking in. The weather was horrendous storm babet and was very weary after a long journey, we certainly didn’t see any notice. Our one night stay has proven stressful. You should advise all guests in future as unless you’ve stayed there before you aren’t to know.

The breakfast is good

THe staff here is wonderful. Direct line to taxis at the front desk. Getting around is easy. Breakfast was hot foods and a large selection. But the staff….ALL areas were exceptional

Far from the port not what we expected. Good breakfast buffet. Comfortable bed , towels & bedsheets are in good condition. The room and bathroom are clean

Holiday Inn Express is located along motorway, we arrived early, kept waiting beyond checkin time only received room when we noticed recent arrivals given keys and led to smelly room with lumpy bed. Staff led us to another smelly room with slightly less lumpy bed. Tourists can find lovely b&bs nearby, with amazing full English breakfast, clean air & comfortable beds.
