Ardtorna

Based on the extensive 5* reviews, we had high expectations, but left a little disappointed. There were a number of small things that would have made a big difference to our stay. Our room was really hot, and would have benefited from reflective solar film on the windows (also would increase privacy) and/or air conditioning. Our cheese board, which at £70 was marketed on their website as an opportunity to try local food, was a selection from Tesco, including Tesco branded wine we'd seen on offer. The soap and shower products also weren't Scottish, which felt a shame given their emphasis on sourcing local. It felt like fancy things like a fizzy water station had been prioritised over things like having access to cold water. We appreciated the welcoming staff and pleasant view, and the offer of a discounted breakfast for one of us who can't eat properly, but we are a little confused at the almost unanimous 5*s.

A brilliant boutique B&B with amazing hospitality and views! I recommend the Deluxe Double Room with Sea View - definitely the best view from the property and the pictures online don't do it justice. The breakfast was great and the honesty bar well stocked! Highly recommend.

Our room was fabulous with panoramic views. It felt like a honeymoon suite.the decor and furnishings were of the highest quality and extremely tasteful. The in room bath made it feel luxurious but was a little high for us older folk. But no worries there is a shower room

The Host Karen provided a lovely experience for our entire family which was welcomed after a long drive. Beautifully furnished accommodations with noticeable attention to every detail including a five-star breakfast. We are all raving fans of Ardtorna B&B and will recommend to others planning to visit this area of the Scottish Highlands.

The best bed and breakfast we have ever stayed in. Fantastic breakfast with gourmet food. Very friendly owner ( Karen) and lovely comfortable room with fantastic view. We hope to return soon.

Ardtorna is exceptional. We loved staying here. The setting is stunning and the building brilliant. It was comfortable and spacious . The attention to detail was spectacular and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. I can’t think of a better place to stay.

From the moment we arrived to the moment we left, we had a warm welcome from Janine. The grand designs styled house was immaculate. The diffuser at the front door was a welcoming aroma. The room was large and again spotless. We had a superking bed, rain shower and Molton Brown toiletries. A balcony that looked onto the amazing views the b and b offers. In the hall there were complimentary coffee and snacks. Pan fried nuts and quality street chocolates. An honesty bar was near the lounge. We ate our breakfast on the balcony for the first morning, and in the breakfast hall on the 2nd morning. Breakfast both days were amazing. Scottish platter on the first, Ardtorna speciality and sweet pancakes on the second. A selection of cereals,.fruit coffee, teas and juices to help yourself too. Attention to detail is shown throughout, to the coffee mugs to the wee teaspoon that hangs over it. Overall my wife and I had an amazing stay and would highly recommend it. Only bad point of the stay was having to leave. Hopefully be back again soon.

Truly exceptional and a five star experience all round, my only regret was only staying one night. The property and accommodation are of the highest of standards and it's a great location just off but sufficiently distanced from the A828 with great views over Loch Creran.

We stayed here for 2 nights as a Chris**as gift (voucher) from one of our daughters. We don't know how she found it but we are truly glad she did. As a family many years ago we had relatives in Oban and spent many a happy summer holiday there. This was a nostalgic visit for us and what a place to spend it in. There is not one word in the description of the property we would change. It is simply fabulous. This is truly five star luxury accommodation and service. The attention down to the smallest detail is superb. The seafood platter we had one evening was of gourmet standard.
