Norcroft Guest House

It is a short 15min walk from Penrith station and a cozy b&w. Breakfast is served to your room as the owners are elderly and want to keep covid safe rules ongoing. Otherwise, a very pleasant experience, neat room with kettle and coffee/tea if you need, tv, nice shower room and towels provided. If you want a less commercialised experience and more local experience, this b&w is recommended!

Very lovely stay with delicious breakfast delivered to your room every morning! Walking distance to the town center and many restaurant options. Enjoyed my week-long stay here!

Comfortable rooms and good facilities. Great value for small groups spending a couple of days in the northern Lake District.

We stayed here for one night to break our journey from Plymouth to Helensburgh. The guest house is perfectly situated for a short walk into the town to eat. There is parking at the back and the hosts are lovely. We were in room 4 which had one of the most comfortable super king size beds ever. Good quality bedding and towels provided, all these wee things matter. Tea and coffee facilities with extras if and when needed. Breakfast is ordered the night before and delivered piping hot to the room. A table and chairs provided to enjoy a relaxed breakfast..guess you could eat it in your pyjamas if you want. We had a shower over the bath. Just be warned the water pressure is strong, which is great, albeit unexpected. 😳. Great value for money, free parking, free wifi and a lovely breakfast. What more do two weary travellers need, we will definitely use again.

Only a short walk into Penrith, free off-road parking, comfy bed, welcoming host - and unlike some B&Bs in Penrith it doesn't demand a two-night stay. The building isn't ultra-modern, but it suited our stay just fine.

Arrived soaked in the first stage of the C2C. John and his wife are very welcoming and kind. Comfortable and clean room, great shower. Plentiful and tasty breakfast. Recommended stop during the C2C!!

What a marvellous stay. From start to finish john and kim made you feel welcome. Everything clean bed very comfortable. Loved having breakfast in the room. Definitely worth staying at this guest house. Not far from the centre. Well worth it will definitely be going again.

Excellent b & b with friendly hosts. Very clean, great shower and perfect for an overnight business stop. Breakfast was nice too.
