Wow, wow, wow! These apartments are amazing! The whole area is clean and well maintained! Very modern rooms. Air conditioning in every room. Beds are really comfortable. Kitchen facilities are great, with everything you need! The pool isn’t massive but big enough. No sunbed wars. Perfect location, right on the beach. Perfect for anyone with mobility issues. All staff members are friendly and helpful, from cleaners to receptionists. One tiny bit of constructive criticism, but won’t ruin your holiday, not enough space on the balcony to dry swim wear/towels etc. will 100% be back!

We just returned from a wonderful week stay. The apartments were stunning. Amazing view , great location and amazing staff. The reception staff are always smiling and friendly, even when I was trying out my poor attempt at Spanish. The pool bar/snack bar staff (Jessica and Miguel) for so friendly and always delivering great service. At the price we paid this is really a gem

Wonderful stay for 4 nigts. Had a 2 bedroom apt no 47. So perfect, maybe to big for us, but as a last minute booking the only one we could get and so happy with that. Everything extremely clean. And staff so polite and friendly. Close to everything without climbing hills.

We are here right now. This place is lovely. It's newly renovated so very clean, fresh & light. The apartment has air-conditioning in every room plus ceiling fans, TV in each room & the kitchen is modern and has everything you need. The walk in shower is lovely with waterfall shower head. Shampoo, shower gel provided & washing up liquid with sponge & tea towel for basic washing up. Beds are comfy & extra blankets/pillow are in the wardrobe with a safe also.plenty of full length mirrors which others places don't always have. The view from the balconies is right over the beach. Pool is really nice, smaller than others but I only use it to cool of. No balls or blow up stuff allowed in pool which is great as adults can enjoy without those stupid things in the pool (it's not all about the kids). Plenty of eating places on the door step as well as a pool bar in the complex & a spar a few mins walk away. Reception staff very helpful. cleaners & bar staff very friendly. The lifeguard was lovely too, he helped people find sun loungers & parasols & made sure everyome behaved. Even the tiles at the pool area are the ones that don't get red hot so you can walk on them bare foot. The only downside which affects most hotels/apt blocks is the 'reserving' sun loungers with towels all day!!!! They put their towels out at 8am but don't turn up until 2pm. A bit annoying & would be an even better place if they removed all towels off loungers until you arrive this would stop the selfish ignorant folk doing this! But other than that it's a really fab small apt complex which is quiet & spotless. Would definitely recommend! Any bad reviews on here are pre-renovation so I can't imagine anything but glowing reviews now. The apartments are exactly how they look in the photos if not better. All wheelchair accessible and there is a lift (my mum has an electric scooter) and we are on 3rd floor.

Fabulous hotel, perfect location. At the bottom of the hills practically on the beach. Couldn't of wanted for better. Very clean. Maid service everyday for clean towels, beds to be made etc . Everything within walking distance. Plenty of excursions to participate in. Staff very friendly & helpful.

We booked with First Choice as a end of summer package holiday and arrived late on a Friday night. Not the best start with 3 young children after a 2 hour runway delay and nowhere suitable open nearby to get food. However fast check in found us quickly in our spacious 2 bedroom apartment on the top floor as requested with a lovely sea view. The aircon and fans in every room was a welcome bonus and we slept well all week. The children had a bedroom for themselves and plenty of storage space. The Tv didn't have much other than news and Spanish channels but we took our own Firestick and it worked well with the wifi. The self catering facilities were plentiful and the decor is gorgeous after the refurbishment. As others have noted though lack of space to dry clothes properly and a dustpan and brush would be useful. The complex was spotless, the housekeepers so friendly and we noted the pool being cleaned daily after closing and again in the morning. High praise and thanks to Miguel and Jessica at the pool bar, friendly at all times and nothing was too much for them. As the complex was on the small side we found the lifeguards a little off putting as we were one of the only families with children and although obviously doing their job it felt at times they were staring and made us feel a little paranoid. Also the ban on inflatables is a little harsh when the pool is empty half the time. Location wise its perfect, steps from the beach and a taxi rank. plenty of nearby bars and restaurants for drinks and food and a well stocked supermarket next door with another 2 within easy waling distance. Also a 5 minute walk to the start of the Amadores walk way, took approx 20 minutes with a bar for drinks and a pitstop half way. We would definitely consider staying again, very good value for money and a lovely holiday.

2nd visit here, the first was before the refurbishment & if we thought it was good before well it’s even better now! I’d emailed ahead to request a top floor room if possible & we got the middle room on the top floor & the view was beautiful. We were delayed arriving but were quickly checked in by Christian. The beds were really comfortable & the bonus of now having air con meant the bedroom window could be closed so there was no noise at night. We were glad to see the resident cat in situ, welcoming us home each night & chilling round the pool with us. The pool bar is great & the couple running it so friendly. Pool is much better now that inflatables are not allowed as previously you couldn’t get in it for them sometimes. An absolutely fantastic stay, brilliant location, no niggles or anything negative to say about it apart from 2 weeks going by so quickly.

Fantastic apartments right on the beach front. Apartments were well maintained and very well equipped. Recently refurbished. Pool was great, just the right temperature. Poolside bar also offers bar meals by day. Staff were great. Rooms cleaned nearly everyday. Would highly recommend. The management just need to pay more attention to people "reserving" sun beds with towels. This is not 3 star as suggested. It is definitely 4 star or a bit higher. Will be returning

This hotel has changed again and even better since we last went. The staff are all the same happy smiley faces. The rooms have improved with air con. Pool bar is excellent with food and drinks to suit all patrons. Thank you to reception staff for our room brilliant. Big shout out to Miguel and Jessica who run the pool bar gracios gracios for looking after us went out of their way due to personal needs. We are looking forward to returning next year.

Had a brilliant 2 weeks at the XQ Vistamar. Very friendly staff from the receptionists to the housekeepers. Talking of the housekeepers our room was serviced nearly every day with fresh towels and toilet rolls.Only one thing we missed and that was a dustpan and brush to sweep the sand we brought in from the beach. The building is spotless and modern with everything you need for self catering. TV in the living room and the bedroom. Air con and Ceiling fans in both rooms. There were some guests who didn't quite grasp the no towel on the sunbed rule to reserve them despite the management putting flyers under everyone's doors. We managed to keep our room for an extra 3 hours which was €10 per hour.Roll on next July when we will be back.

We’ve been coming to Puerto Rico for years (since I was a child) so have stayed in a lot of hotels/apartments in the area. XQ Vistamar is hands down the best we’ve ever stayed in! Spotless, spacious modern rooms, lovely pool area with no worries of ‘sunbed wars’ & a great little pool bar. We’re never usually organised enough to book our holidays too far in advance but have already booked again for August next year so we don’t miss out on a room. We wouldn’t want to stay anywhere else now!

As if you can't use the facilities after checking out!!! I've never in all my life came across anything so ludicrous. People pay there hard earned cash to come away and you treat them like this. It's out of order and your going to lose business.

These apartments are fantastic. They are immaculately clean, modern and have everything you need. The location is fantastic with beach, bars, shops and restaurants in easy walking distance. The pool bar food is good value for money and is good quality. Pool area is great, plenty of sunbeds available. We had a wait to be picked up for the airport on our last day but there is a convenient luggage room and 2 huge shower/changing rooms that we used to freshen up so could still enjoy our last day. We have booked to go back next year.

Booked one week in April,just returned. Fabulous apt ,everything new. Ample fridge space and freezer. 50 yds to the beach. Supermarket to the right very expensive. Spar to the left far more reasonable. Previous reviews have stated only ceiling fans but can confirm air conditioning in all rooms now. All apts have pool and beach view. Lovely pool quite adequate for the 34 apartments. Fifteen minutes walk to the main shopping centre and restaurants. However 10 restaurants within 5 minute walk. Point to bear in mind , no kids pool or entertainment. Lovely poolside bar serving very reasonable drinks and snacks. Only niggle would be bed linen not changed in 7 days and no real draining facility for washing up dishes. Highly recommend.
