Marina Suites Gran Canaria

Das Hotel befindet sich direkt am Yacht Hafen in einer top Lage. Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Apar**ent. Die Zimmer sind geräumig, ausgestattet mit einem Wohnzimmer, Küche und einen riesigen Terasse. Kann das Hotel nur jedem weiter empfehlen.

This hotel is perfect! The rooms are very spacious and well appointed, all the staff are lovely, and the location is ideal. Hotel We were stayed on a self-catering basis. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely guy called Jorge who immediately made us feel welcome. Our room really was a small appar**ent - it had everything we needed, you could easily live in it! The kitchen had everything (see photo) including a washing-up kit. There are two sides to the hotel - one side facing the marina and the town, and the other facing the pool area and out to sea. We had the marina side, which offered great views but the marina could be a little noisy during the day. This never bothered us but the other side may be quieter. Also the marina side does not get direct sun until very late in the day so was nice and cool. The pool-facing side is sunward so I assume it will be the hotter side. We had breakfast at the restaurant a few times - a standard buffet affair but the quality and selection was excellent, and at €15 per person very reasonable. Juan gave us a lovely welcome every morning! There was loads of parking right outside the hotel, but being on the marina does mean you have to pay (€14.40 per day maximum) - factor that in if you're hiring a car. The beds are pretty firm. If you like a softer bed, the sofabed in the lounge may be a good option. The only suggestion I have for improvement is a walk-in shower. Our room had a bath with shower, which was fine but can be awkward for those with mobility issues. Location Puerto Rico is set in a valley, and a lot of the hotels are high up on the steep sides, making for lots of steps. However the Marina Suites are at sea level, meaning it's a totally flat walk to get to the lovely beach, which is about 5 mins walk away. There are lots of great places to eat very nearby. There is a little collection of restaurants and a small supermarket just a few minutes away - turn right out of the hotel, go through the tunnel and up a little hill. I really like Puerto Rico itself - even though the town is a tourist resort, it's relatively quiet and has a great mix of shops. The Mogan Mall is very pretty and surrounded by shops and restaurants of all kinds - it's about 20 minutes walk away from the marina. While there you should definitely check out the large Spar near the mall - it's the fanciest supermarket I've ever seen! If you're able-bodied everything is easily walkable from the Marina Suites - if not, all the shops are along the floor of the valley, which is a gentle hill and I think most are accessible by wheelchair. I don't recall there being any required steps from the hotel right up to the mall. If you're driving there's no shortage of parking in the town. There is a huge car park under the mall, which was free when we visited. I also noted lots of EV charging places in all the large carparks on the island.

The welcome by the receptionists was wonderful and all the staff were always helpful and smiling. We loved the suite and the balcony with sea view and sunsets! The breakfast buffet is really impressive and varied. The infinity pool was amazing and we enjoyed the pool gym. The facilities are amazing with the internal bar, restaurant, gym and jacuzzis.

This hotel is 5 star the only problem is it lacks intertament and all so there are some times a problem with the sun beds there could do with more room between each bed and to stop people from putting there towels on the sun beds and leaving them there until later not very good

We stayed at the Marina Suites in May 2024 for 10 nights and I can say, without hesitation, that if/ when we go back to Gran Canaria, we would book into this hotel again. We were on the 8th floor overlooking the marina where you have the added bonus of seeing the sun set. The bedroom was huge, as was the bed which was very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and modern and the open plan living/ dining/kitchen area was big, bright and well equipped with everything we needed. The balcony was a fantastic size with a dining table and four chairs, two bucket seats and a huge potted plant! The communal areas were welcoming, light and airy and on the ground floor, next to reception, there is a social room with lots of sofas, chairs, a pool table and subuteo table. There was a bookcase filled with books which you could borrow and courtesy shower rooms for those on later flights who needed to freshen up. A great touch as it means you can still make the most of your last day. The infinity pool is gorgeous and there are plenty of sunbeds. The adult only zone is well laid out, there are hedges between the loungers and balinese beds giving everyone a feeling of privacy. There are also 2 jacuzzis in this area. Last, but not certainly not least, the staff were helpful and friendly and the cleaners do a great job of keeping the whole hotel looking clean and tidy. The hotel is well appointed for restaurants and bars. Our favourites were NUBE restaurant and, for drinks and watching the sports, try the Wig Wam bar '. We loved it there! Huge 10/10 from us!

Stayed here for the first time and wow, can’t fault it, the staff were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble, there was everything in the room that you needed, and the beds were very comfortable, the maid came every day, I would definitely recommend this hotel, and will be returning again

A really nice hotel, clean with comfy beds, agreat breakfast and a very nice pool. We had a high floor overlooking the marina and it was perfect. Sunny evenings on the balcony before a short stroll into Puerto Rico where there was a good range of restaurants nearby.

I have been coming to Marina suites since it opened. I have come with my children, but most of the time I come with my husband. Unfortunately my husband passed away last year so we have come back to Marina for the years anniversary of his passing as a family of 10, to celebrate his life & come to the place he adored. Marina Suites never lets us down.
