My wife and I stayed at the Hotel Teatro Pace for four nights in September. It's a beautiful old hotel in a great location, just off of Piazza Navona. But we ran into some problems there. We were at first given a room that had no air conditioning (it was in the 80s the week we were there). The unit broken, we were told we could get a fan for the night, and a mechanic could see what could be done the next day. We didn't consider that an acceptable solution, and we asked to be moved to another room, which we were. That room did have a working air conditioner. Unfortunately, when we showered the next morning, we found there was no hot water--not even lukewarm water. When we reported this, we were told someone would check and fix the boiler, which they did. So I give credit to the staff for being responsive. And we encountered three different staff members during our stay, all of whom were very pleasant to deal with. But being given a room with a broken air conditioner and being moved to another with no warm water makes it impossible for me to rate the hotel highly or recommend it.
