The hotel is immaculate and clean, in the lovely small village of San Pantaleo. Car hire is essential as there isn’t much in the village for a day time, and with fabulous beaches only a 15-20 minute drive away, we found the perfect balance of visiting a beach for the first half of the day, then coming back later either for time at the pool or on the balcony. We had a room with a balcony and one without, and both had spectacular views out to the mountains, and were really well maintained. The balcony room as a superior room, had a kettle, tea etc, and it was thanks to the fabulous receptionist that we were able to move to this room, as in UK we hadn’t been able to upgrade to a balcony. The upgrade price was well worth the money. Note that the hotel does a few snacks only throughout the day, and in the square we found we could only really get a mozzarella toastie also as the main place that did lunch was always busy with no tables left in the shade. At night time, there is a restaurant in the hotel, that’s run independently to the hotel, and there are a few in the village but note that it is worth booking tables as we found the restaurants got very busy and could not always accommodate. All the staff at the hotel we found to be first class, from the ladies on reception, to the breakfast team who also manned the bar throughout the day and night. Breakfast, whilst the same every day, always had plenty, and I loved the cakes and croissants, and the Americano. I have to also commend what was the best mojito I’ve ever had, which I had by the pool. Absolutely delicious, and only €9! Can also recommend a trip to Porto Rotondo, and also Porto Cuervo.. personally I preferred the former, and enjoyed well priced drinks by the marina after being wowed by the super yachts. All in all we had a fabulous time, loved it.. not for the rowdy, looking to party..but definitely for us!
