Travelodge York Tadcaster

It is a very convenient place for those who come by car. Its location is not very suitable for those who come alone and without a car.

Despite being a little concerned when approaching the hotel, I was pleasantly surprised with the actual facility and the level of service provided by the staff. Our room and rest of the hotel interior was spotless.

Booked last minute, same evening as arrival. The online booking was really easy. The hotel staff were very welcoming, really easy to engage with and hassle free check in. Room was clean, water was hot considering my late arrival! Great size TV and the bed was comfortable. Early start and very simple to check out. 24hr fuel station on the same complex, was perfect and a Greggs... My only grumble would be the customer parking, obviously some drivers ... about 8 of them would rather park using two spaces than one, so ended up parking outside Greggs

We had a wonderful stay, booked a couple of nights in an accessible room. Booking online was super easy. Our room was clean & fresh, the beds very comfortable I slept like a log, being disabled this is rare for me. It was lovely & quiet inside & out. The bathroom was spacious with plenty of handrails for me. There was only 2 plug sockets which made charging a bit of a juggling act but other than that we had no complaints.

We have stayed in this Travelodge many times. The location is perfect for the park and ride into York. It's a short drive to Leeds and not too far from the North York moors and coast. The rooms are clean and comfortable with everything needed for a short stay. There's a Greggs and petrol station shop on site for extras. We had a room at the back over looking open countryside and there was no road noise at all. The staff are polite and friendly and we felt safe and secure leaving our belongings when we were out all day. Highly recommend for touring or a mini break.

Great Travelodge. The staff here are second to none, they make you feel extremely welcome and will go above and beyond to ensure you’re catered for. The rooms are well maintained and comfortable and despite been located off a dual carriageway it’s very quiet and peaceful. The staff 100% give the hotel a good name, I can’t compliment them enough.

My second stay this year, both times I had the same experience . Lovely comfy beds very lovely staff and Manager nothing was too much trouble for any of them. Very helpful and welcoming. The only reason I didn't rate as 5 * is because the hotel is very dated and in need of a refurb. Fab sleep, overall very clean and I was well looked after. Will be staying again this year.

This Travelodge is located on one side of A64, which means it takes longer to either get to OR leave from here, depending on which direction you travel from. The place is not very clean, especially the bathroom. They did not have enough towels; some soap dispensers were not working; but the staff were friendly and helpful. We woke up in the middle of the night to hear people shouting loudly. The staff explained that they do not clean the rooms until we checked out, even if we are staying for more than a day. There is no breakfast option but the building next door has Greggs, which helped. There is a misleading Burger King sign, which does not function anymore. Overall, this place could do with a bit of cleaning, facelift and better service.
