Skiathos Argento

We are staying at an apartment overlooking this and was told we had free use of the facilities. Went down and had a drink and were very warmly welcomed. Then we went back and had a meal ( I can recommend the chicken in cream) which was lovely and very tasty. Friendliness of staff is second to none. Absolutely spotless and very high standard throughout. Absolutely love it!

Hosts are amazing, place is amazing, so handy for Bus stop 15 that takes you everywhere, so easy and efficient, beautiful Kolios beach just across road, leads of tavernas within walking distance Skiathos is beautiful, Just Book, you won't Regret it, See you Soon

Myself and my partner stayed at Xanthi in September 2023, it was our first time visiting the island and we absolutely loved it. Even though we got caught in Storm Daniel which meant we had 5 days of rain and storms, and weren’t able to leave the accommodation much. But to be honest, this made for one of the most memorable trips ever, Matina and Bill are amazing, kind hosts. They really took care of us all when we were basically in lockdown at the pool bar. Nothing was ever too much trouble, I cannot fault their hospitality. The studios are lovely and clean, with great views. The pool area is beautiful (not that we managed to use it more than once due to the storms..!) and the location of the studios is perfect. Close to Kolios beach and some lovely tavernas. Plus super convenient for the bus route (stop 15 just down the hill). Myself and my partner made some lovely friends with other guests in the pool bar, it’s a very sociable place if that’s what you like :) We absolutely loved Skiathos and the Xanthi so much we are returning in July for a 10 day trip and we can’t wait. Highly recommend - 5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Beautiful little hotel run by a gorgeous family. The rooms and service are amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. Nestled a short walk up a gentle hill amongst trees and flowers. Rooms are immaculate with everything you need. Including full iron and hairdryer. The restaurant is lovely with a great chef Angela. All the food is 5 star. Shrimp Saganaki is to die for. Beautiful Greek omelettes or full English for breakfast all superb. You will not be disappointed. Thanks Maria and Marta for a memorable stay. We'll be back. Lisa, Ed & Esmé Dixon

These studios are in a lovely peaceful location, with the obligatory cockerel. Yes, it's a 5ish minute walk from the main road with a couple of inclines but nothing too strenuous. I had a standard studio and it was fabulous (the superior must only be for the bathroom or kitchen), comfy mattress, comfy chairs on the spacious private balcony and the final touch is how clean everything is kept. The pool is a beautiful calm oasis and the breakfast at the attached restaurant is first rate. I wouldn't hesitate too stay here again.

We wanted small and friendly accommodation for our first visit to Skiathos and Xanthi was spot on for our requirements. Martina and Bill who are the owners gave us such a warm welcome. Our studio room was exactly as described with plenty of storage room. Very comfy pillows and great lighting over dressing table. Our room was on the upper floor with fantastic views over the green valley and also to the sea. A drying rack was provided also on the balcony. Great pool and bar providing breakfast and bar food throughout the day. Bill makes delicious omelettes. Mythos beer on draft and huge choice of cocktails. The location is up a hill from main road but it’s an easy climb down to Bus Stop 15 which was a great location half way down the island. Bus system is brilliant and only 15 mins to town and loads of beaches and eateries on doorstep. Thank you to Martina and Bill who made our stay a great experience.

I just spent 2 weeks in Skiathos - such a magical place. Storm Daniel came but we all felt so safe in Xanthi Studios. Matina and Bill are the nicest, kindest people. I have already booked for Xanthi for May 2024. Kolios Beach - just across the road from Xanthi - so beautiful. Bill makes amazing pizzas and you must try Matina’s frozen strawberry daiquiris. They have very nice white wine too. Spotlessly clean - all you need. Beautiful pool overlooking pine trees and olive groves.

Martina and Bill are great hosts. The apartments are basic but very clean. We stayed during storm Daniel and we were well looked after, with food and drinks available and the bar area as cosy as it could be whilst the storm was raging. Although we didn’t have chance to explore, we felt lucky to be at the Xanthi studios rather than elsewhere on the island. Hopefully we will return and get to appreciate the island.

We had a wonderful 10 days at Xanthi. It is a lovely place to stay. The owners are very friendly and run an excellent pool bar. There is a happy hour every evening 6.30-8.00 which is a really fun. They also do food and snacks through the day which are good value and tasty. The pool area is lovely and never over crowded. We never had any trouble getting a lounger. There are a number of very nice restaurants within walking distance (Diamond was our favourite - authentic Greek restaurant). There are also some lovely beaches very close. We did the hike (5km) around the peninsula that is really nice and shows you some really nice beaches. The nearest beaches are Kolios and Vromolinos which are within a few minutes walk and very nice. We walked to Diamandi beach (~40mins) which is definitely worth doing early in the morning before anyone else arrives. There is a bus that can take you to Skiathos town or Koukounaries beach (the hike around the lake and pine forest definitely recommended early in the morning).
