Hayeswood Lodge Luxury Accommodation

What a beautiful place to stay with a hint of Alice in Wonderland. Upon arrival we found homemade chocolate brownies with a note saying eat me, so we did as that was the only polite thing to do. The chewy yet crunchy and melted chocolate sensation was amazing. The bed was so big that we lost each other during the night, sleep was never better. The local pub was welcoming and served fantastic food. Breakfast was simply yet enough. Dan was very helpful and welcoming, giving good advice on where to eat locally. Took pictures of their awesome garden and hope to visit again

Fantastic stay at Hayeswood Lodge. Stayed for 2 nights whilst visiting my sister. Great location and lovely room with ensuite and small kitchen area. Personal highlight was the brownies! Very useful having an electric car charging point on site.

Lovely rooms, beautifully appointed and some really nice touches - home-made brownies, crumpets, milk/juice in the fridge, good coffee etc - all great attention to detail.

Just to reiterate all the previous reviews this is an absolute gem! Lovely night’s stay that ticked so many boxes; clean, private, peaceful and so well thought through. Room was immaculate, warm and nicely decorated. Lovely breakfast options, nicely presented in a well-equipped kitchenette. Friendly and welcoming hosts. A lovely spot that we’ll be back to soon!

Had a lovely night's stay at Hayeswood. Dan was extremely welcoming and the room was immaculate, with every single thing you need for a great getaway. This is a perfect quiet place to base when you are exploring Nottingham and Derby. The gardens are lovely with two large ponds and you are surrounded by beautiful countryside. The lodges themselves are separate from the main house. We will definitely be going back when we visit the area again. Nothing about this place to fault! I cannot recommend this place enough.

Dan and Katie have beautified the old cow sheds into something rather perfect! Their rooms are well designed, with beautiful and interesting decor. If you are into the 'boutique', or prefer an 'arty' look, this is the place for you. Add to that peace and quiet, and a relaxed, friendly environment, where you can forget about everyday life. Dan and Katie are so welcoming. Katie makes gorgeous breakfasts, which are in the kitchenettes, a very useful addition. The room are all (I know, because I sneaked a look round them all!) absolutely lovely. The bed was so comfortable. Wifi very good. No problems with parking, and lovely outdoor areas to sit and eat or chill in the summer. All bathrooms have a modern, wide-enough bath, with lovely overhead shower. Underfloor heating helps when it gets chilly. Loads of hot water. Clean and beautifully kept. Value excellent. We will definitely be back! It was so relaxing to step into another world!

We have just spent two nights at this idyllic venue and cannot fault it. We feel so fortunate to have found such a perfect base while attending a nearby wedding and, as it was so good, we shall find an excuse to return and would highly recommend! What a gem of a find. Tucked away in rural Derbyshire with just 4 wonderfully decorated rooms, this is the place to unwind. We were welcomed by the owner, Dan, who couldn’t have been more helpful. The room, Oak, we were in had a lovely little kitchenette with everything you need to cater for yourself if you choose. Fresh fruit, homemade Brownies and crumpets along with breakfast cereals and juices were supplied. The gardens are wonderfully laid out and so peaceful.

I won’t repeat other reviews, I found this place as described by others. I was impressed with the beautiful decor and the little touches of luxury that made this stay special . Would I stay again? Absolutely!
