Located in the beautiful, gated mountain community of Connestee Falls, this region hosts signature waterfalls and natural splendor. Spend your days exploring the 4 community lakes and miles of hiking trails, or take a short drive to DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Caesar’s Head State Park, or the Blue Ridge Parkway. Downtown Brevard is a short drive away with restaurants, shops, breweries, festivals, and more. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are just an hour away.The Tea House’s main level consists of a comfortable living area, an open, eat-in kitchen, a full bathroom, guest room and master bedroom. A screened-in porch spans the back of the house with a dining table and cozy seating area. The guest room is located across from the full bathroom with a king-sized bed. The master bedroom, located off the living room, has a king-sized bed, dresser, private full bath and access directly onto the screened porch. The loft hosts a large, comfortable couch, Roku TV and a daybed with a trundle bed. A circular staircase leads you from the main living area to the basement bedroom and laundry room. At the base of the stairs, you will find storage cabinets with beach towels, games, sand toys and extra blankets and the laundry room. The basement bedroom has three twin beds, a futon, open closet system, Roku TV, video arcade game and children’s books. Off the bedroom is a full bathroom. From the basement bedroom you can exit the house to the back deck where you can enjoy a game of ping pong or sit comfortably and watch the deer go by at the bar top table. Mounted on the front righthand corner of the house is an EV charger adaptable for all electric vehicles. Across from the front door is a charcoal grill for your use and enjoyment. CONNESTEE FALLS AMENITIES: Community amenities included with the $150 fee – Access to the Clubhouse with 2 restaurants, fitness center, heated pool (May-September), and the championship George Cobb 18-hole golf course, driving range, Pro Shop, and golf cart rental (golf and fitness center usage fees required). There are 20 miles of hiking trails with multiple waterfalls, 4 pristine, stocked lakes with docks for swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, and fishing. Covered picnic areas with grills, a playground, tennis courts, a basketball court, bocce ball courts, pickleball courts are also available for your use. GENERAL: The following items are provided during your stay: WiFi, brand new mini-split HVAC systems in each bedroom and central living room, shampoo/conditioner and bodywash dispensers in each bathroom, hair dryer, dishwasher pods, washer/dryer, laundry detergent, hangers, ironing board & iron, linens/towels, beach towels, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper.KITCHEN: Full amenities including a refrigerator, dishwasher, drying rack, stove, blender, toaster, baking dishes, pots/pans, teapot, coffee maker, microwave, Tupperware and plastic bags.PARKING: The large gravel driveway offers plenty of parking. Please note there is a downward slope on the transition from road to driveway. This poses no issue for most vehicles, however any vehicle that has lower than standard road clearance should take caution when pulling into or backing out of the driveway.PET POLICY: No pets allowed unfortunately. OTHER: Please note that the "Cleaning Fee" charge of $200 includes both the cleaning fee ($50) and the Connestee Falls access/amenity fees ($150) for use of the pool, lakes, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc. These fees are fixed no matter the length of your stay. The amenity fee is set by the community's HOA.You will need your driver’s license to check-in at the security gate and we also require each guest to sign a guest registration form that is required by the Connestee Falls Community. The cabin is located in the gated resort community of Connestee Falls, with an extraordinary amount of amenities right within the community: clubhouse with two restaurants, olympic-sized heated pool, tennis, pickle ball, bocce ball, golf course, a wellness center, 13 miles of private hiking trails, and some of the most beautiful walkable waterfalls nature has to offer.The main level of the cabin offers an inviting kitchen with stainless steel appliances, coffee machine, toaster, microwave, all necessary cookware and utensils, gas fireplace, smart television, and a large dining table located in a stunning all-seasons room, surrounded by nature. The two main bedrooms and full baths are located on this level. The main level also includes a gated wrap-around deck, a gas grill, and comfortable rocking chairs to take in the mountain views. The washer/dryer are located on the main level.A spiral staircase takes you down to the lower level ‘lodge’. This floor offers a second gas fireplace and smart television, a bar with a fridge, and cozy couches. The bedroom with the bunk beds and third full bath are located on the lower level. A sliding glass door walks out to a heavenly swing bench with a captivating view of the mountains. The cabin offers free high-speed wi-fi/internet, wi-fi calling, linens and towels, washer/dryer, two gas fire places, outdoor gas grill, outdoor bench swing and rocking chairs. Connestee Falls clubhouse access, pool, lake, tennis, pickle ball, bocce ball and hiking are included at no additional fee. Golf and wellness center usage require additional fees. The cabin is located within minutes of DuPont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, Caesar’s Head State Park, and the Blue Ridge Parkway. A 15 minute drive down the mountain will land you in charming Downtown Brevard— filled with restaurants, shops and more. Downtown Asheville and the Biltmore Estate are within an hour drive.Other things to noteA cleaning fee charge of $175 includes both the cleaning fee and the Connestee Falls access fees for use of the pool, lakes, clubhouse, tennis courts, etc.A non-refundable deposit of $150 is required if bringing dogs (2 max), subject to owner approval.To gain access to the gate and community amenities, guests will need to register for a Connestee Falls guest pass by filling out a short form with name(s)/vehicle(s) info. The form will be emailed to guests after booking.Parking for 2-3 cars is available in front of the cabin. Additional parking can be arranged within Connestee Falls.A narrow spiral staircase connects the main level to the lower level of the cabin. The lower level contains the bunk bed room and an additional living space. The lower level may also be accessed through a sliding glass door from the outside of the cabin. Please note this, in case spiral staircases are challenging for anyone in your party.Canoes and tennis rackets not provided, but guests welcome to bring their own. Pickle ball paddles can be rented at the Connestee Falls Golf Pro Shop. Bocce balls available at the bocce courts. This charming cabin, 'Deer Run,' is situated on a beautiful, private setting, surrounded by Hemlocks, Mountain Laurel, Rhododendron, and Holly Trees at 3,000 feet on the top of Black Knob Mountain. Located in Pisgah Forest Estates, the cabin is in a private neighborhood, secluded from the main house where the owners live.It has one bedroom with a queen size bed, a spacious loft with twin beds, two full baths, a great room with a cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen, dining area, sunroom, covered back porch, and a stack washer and dryer. The cabin has two TV's one with a built-in DVD player, and WiFi. There is a Tesla Charger available on the property upon request.You will love this location. It is so close to spectacular waterfalls and hiking trails. Written in Bike Magazine, Brevard is home to some of the best bike riding in the country. Also close is Brevard Music Center, renowned nationwide for its summer musical presentations. The Flat Rock Theatre only 16 miles from our cabin provides an incredible array of plays, musicals, and concerts.
