I booked approximately a month before our stay. I requested a ground floor room for my disabled husband. Arrive, no ground floor available for us. Sent to second floor. Upon entry to our room, I noticed that the room had a very bad smell to it. It was either body odor or someone ate something very off it the room. I opened the window and aired it out until we returned from dinner. It helped but the smell was still strong in the bathroom. There were no suitcase racks. My husband needed to rest for his surgery the next day. It was so noisy. I finally called the frontdesk at 10pm, due to the people above us running and jumping. The next day we noticed that outside the lobby was littered with cigarette butts. After being at the hospital we learned my husbands long awaited surgery was now cancelled. The plan was to stay another night while my husband was in hospital, but with the cancellation, it was not necessary and we just wanted to get back home. I asked if we could checkout early, and explained the circumstances, we did not want a refund but perhaps a credit for the next surgery date, We were leaving early enough that they could clean and rent the room out again. The lovely girl at the frontdesk said she would email the manager. Within minutes, I was told the manager said no, no refund or credit. We have stayed here several times, and this time was a bad experience from beginning to end. Disappointing to say the least. We will not be staying here again.
