4 Senior backpackers in Japan ”stumbled” onto this gem of a Japanese inn next to the Arakawa River. Less than 10 minute walk from the Kami-Nagatoro station and 10 minute walk to Nagatoro Station. We chose location due to proximity to river and start of river boat downstream river ride-sites. We were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality shown throughout our two-day stay. We were late in coming out of the mountains of Gunma prefecture (2 hour plus train ride away) and called the inn to notify and were subsequently told that this was no problem for check-in and supper. Fortunately we made up time lost and got to the inn earlier that expected and enjoyed the serene tree-lined river and men's and women's communal furo (shower/bath also in rooms) with outdoor views before dining. Then...we were overwhelmed by the quality and quantity of the dinner! A real treat to get a 7+ course Japanese meal featuring the specialty vegetables and protein of the region! Upon departure we chose to walk with packs back to Kami-Nagatoro Station, along the river, but the proprietor had the Inn van ready and waiting to take us to the train station. The included breakfast's were also multi-course Japanese style, with regional specialties. Granted, the hotel is somewhat time-worn, probably seeing its zenith in the 80's and 90's but all the facilities were cleaning, usable and safe. All staff went made a great effort to ensure that we were enjoying the locale and the Inn. This location, in our opinion is much more serene and ”touristy” than the main area surrounding Nagatoro station but is only 10 minutes walking from that action. If opportunity arises, we will return. The Saitama Museum of Natural is just across the street but this large and modern facility was not open on our late arrival and on Monday. We left on Tuesday morning, but wanted to visit this place also.

Our stay at Hotel Green Core was absolutely exceptional from start to finish! If you are traveling with a family, I cannot recommend this hotel enough. Here is why we loved it so much: - Incredibly Kid-Friendly: Traveling with young kids (a 7-year-old and a 3-year-old) can be challenging, but this hotel made everything so smooth and relaxing for us. The atmosphere is warm, welcoming, and they really understand how to accommodate families. -Spotlessly Clean: Cleanliness is always my top priority, and this place exceeded all expectations. The rooms and common areas were perfectly maintained and immaculate, which gave me such peace of mind. -Flawless Experience: Literally everything was good. The service, the comfort, the attention to detail—it was all just perfect and well thought out. We had a wonderful time here and it made our trip so much easier and more enjoyable. A true 10/10 experience, we will definitely be back!

Great location in the middle of the main warehouse district and accessible by bus from the nearest train stations. Cozy room, clean and modern design and facilities. Shared bathrooms are also clean and well maintained. Food court on the first floor provided a quick and easy breakfast.

Хотя это был небольшой чемоданчик для ручной клади, места для его открытия было достаточно. Также была длинная стойка и стулья, а зеркала были великолепны – одно в полный рост, а другое поменьше для макияжа на стене. Крышок с водой был закрыт с самого начала и никак не открывался, как бы я ни старалась, поэтому в нем скапливалась вода, что было немного неудобно. В остальном все было очень хорошо.

Everything fit and fine. Hygenic breakfast within time. Thanks for the hospatility!

Несмотря на то, что комната небольшая, она очень чистая и аккуратная. Отель расположен в очень удобном с точки зрения транспорта месте, поэтому соотношение цена/качество по-прежнему очень высокое. Все мои товарищи чувствуют то же самое.

Прежде всего, обслуживание клиентов на стойке регистрации было очень хорошим, и я был рад, что забронировал здесь номер. И комната тоже была очень чистой и красивой. Пол был такой, что дети поскользнулись бы на нем, если бы были в носках или тапочках, поэтому нам приходилось ходить босиком, но все равно было красиво. Это было удобно, потому что было в шаговой доступности от вокзала. Был большой экран, и дети были счастливы. (По какой-то причине экран всегда был фиолетовым.)
