Wow!! What an amazing hotel. We arrived in the middle of a power outage, to be met by polite friendly and professional staff, we were made aware of the situation and offered a seat by the fire with complimentary nibbles, we were kept up to date with the situation throughout until power was restored. Considering the disruption, the staff remained calm and all food was delivered promptly and was delicious. The rooms were very tastefully done, well equipped and spotless, beds were extremely comfy and the rooms were toasty warm on a night that got below freezing. Breakfast was really good and we were well looked after by all of the staff. We have to say it is one of the nicest hotels we have stayed in and would 100% recommend The Melbreak to anyone. Well done everyone concerned

Easy to book. Easy to check in. Peaceful. Free street parking. Open top bus stops outside for trip around lakes. Overall, great experience! Fully equipped clean kitchen available if needed. Near homegrown coffee shop that's serves great healthy breakfasts.

Lovely hotel, service was great and the food was excellent. The gardens are beautiful for sitting out with a nice cold drink on a hot day.
