乳青色の湖面に八甲田の山並みが写ります

　酸ヶ湯温泉の近くにある酸ヶ湯インフォメーションセンターから、道路沿いに延びる遊歩道を10分弱歩くと、地獄沼の湖畔に出ました。 　地獄沼と言う名前ですが、湖面はきれいな乳青色です。八甲田山の火山活動によってできた沼なので、沼の周囲には火山活動のなごりの噴気口がいくつかあり、硫黄の匂いがしました。湖面の向こうには八甲田の山並みが見えて、名前とは違って美しい沼でした。
