Look for bear warning signs

Great hike for one/two hrs. However, pay attention if there are bear warning signs. Bring a bear bell regardless in that area.

Pleasant visit

Mini bus ride within the park. Cycling routes and bike hire available. Plenty of trees and green. Sure you can park your car near the official car park. Its cheaper.

Trek at Togakushi.

Explored Nagano Togakushi highland,very good and nice trail, the trees not yet turn green, river very clear, part of the mountains still cover with snow, and with very nice weather to trek.

Small yet informational

The botanical gardens are next to the top Shrine in Togakushi. It has a small lake and walk-thru gardens. The visitor center hosts ecological information as well as many stuffed animals of the forest.
