The ownership of the medieval castle (590 at the monument summit during the plague took the ghost of Michael from an ancient legend whose name) was the factor-one argument among the most powerful Roman families, until the Pope's court, after a period of time in Avignon (1305-1377), returned to Rome and took possession of the building.
