Visiting this arch would be a challenge without a 4x4 or a guided tour. We were delighted to make the stop during our tour. Beautiful views and don't be a dummy - you can see where rock is flaking...

Geology at is best
Canyonlands national park is best viewed from a 4x4. We took a guided tour and we were granted some totally amazing views of Musselman, horseshoe bend, the white rim etc. The arch defies belief that...

At the end of the Shafer drive from inside Canyonlands National Park you keep going straight and then follow some more precipitous bends (not quite so hair raising as the top bit of the Shafer trail) ...
