A stunning location

Not far out of W(h)anganui City is Lake Westmere. There is a small but adequate dirt car park which easily accommodated our (hired) motorhome - in fact there was only us and a dog-walker parked there...

Hidden jewel

There are no signposts to this wonderful lake, we only knew about it from the I-site. It is an easy thirty minutes walk round it, including bush walking
