"We made a 7-days walk along the Douro and had one night in this beautiful and really charming house. Ricardo made a wonderful dinner for the evening. He surpised us, besides the dinner, with champagne and red velvet cake. It was our birthday and he really wanted to spoil us. So, it was great to be there. The house is a beautiful old building, nicely restored and decorated. The room was comfortable, and also the bed. Lamego is a beautiful place to visit as well."

"I went to dinner yesterday with a group of people at the restaurant and the food served was not of the quality I would expect. Each dose of aged meat cost around 60 euros and the meat was very weak and full of nerves. The cleanliness at the table left something to be desired, when we arrived there were chips under the table (from lunch, I suppose, as no cleaning was done after that meal) and some dirt on the floor. The service in the restaurant also leaves something to be desired for a 4-star hotel."
