"I had the most amazing 7 days in Kasar, Almora—courtesy of Kasar Rainbow Yoga Retreat. The rooms are clean and cozy. During November–December, it can get really cold (3–4 degrees at night), but room heaters are available on demand to keep you warm. The atmosphere of the place is beyond amazing—you can feel the fresh air with every breath. The Sihvraj ji–Kamal ji combo will make sure you don’t miss home and that you’re taken care of really well—food and comfort are just like what one gets at home. They’ll even arrange a two-wheeler and transport if you decide to wander around. This place is just ~1 km from Kasar Devi Temple, so it makes it a perfect spot for spiritual seekers planning to visit Kasar Maa frequently during their time in Kasar. I visited 3–4 times during my 7-day stay and still miss it—it’s that good. Price-wise, this place is rightly positioned—not too expensive, which would make a hole in your pocket, but the right value for the facilities you get here. Lastly, the owner of the property, Mr. Sabu Mehra, is friendly—an amazing guy with such beautiful stories from his travel expeditions. He has put his heart into building this place, and it shows. "My husband and I had a deeply nourishing and memorable three-night stay at The Kumaon. The hotel is tucked into the hills with wide, open Himalayan views; one morning, we woke up above the clouds and watched the mountains float in a soft sea of mist right from our bed. The atmosphere is calm, intimate, and secluded, making it an ideal place to slow down, rest, and gently reset from the demands of everyday life. The food was natural, healthy, and prepared with fresh, local ingredients, and it felt both light and delicious. Also, what sets The Kumaon apart is the warmth and care of the team, especially GM Abhinav, who was even willing to accompany me to the hospital in the middle of the night when I had medical concerns. I felt genuinely safe and cared for. I also had a massage during my stay, which was great and added another layer of relaxation. Another special aspect is the subtle but strong spiritual and energetic feel of the area: visiting nearby temples such as Kasar Devi and Jageshwar gave the whole stay a distinctly high‑vibration, contemplative quality. With the views, the wholesome food, the kindness and promptness of the staff, and the tranquil, almost sacred atmosphere, The Kumaon felt less like a hotel, and more like a small mountain sanctuary I would gladly return to."

"This is a long review and will be on below points: 1. Location: Place is located approx 10 Kms before Almora. Nearest point is Karbala if anyone going through public transport. The road is proper and last 1.5kms is off roading and need good 4x4 Vehicle to cover. Resort team sends their vehicle to the village from where the off roading starts. 2. Place: The resort is right next to river Kosi and covered by lush green hills. It looks like a movie set. One can feel the peace and hear the sound of beautiful river flowing. 3. Food: The food is very delicious, I would like to thank the kitchen staff for such good meals for us. The menu is limited but they can cook as per need if we tell in advance. Specially non veg as they need to get it from Almora town. 4. Staff: Dinesh team is very polite and supportive. A special thanks to Dinesh and Manoj who were there all the time during our 3 days stay. They were always ready to help. 5. Rooms: Rooms are spacious with all basic amenities except AC's as it is not needed. They have two decks which have double occupancy, 4 people occupancy and dormatory as well. Common room is there where one can read books. The resort is kid friendly and will be more fun if you are in group. Also, Dinesh is a certified hiker and mountaineer and one can take him for a small trek to river and nearby hills."

"One of the best vacation I’ve had in recent times. This place is ideal for people looking for solitude amidst nature away from all the noise, and hustle bustle of city. Location is untouched. Honestly words will not do justice to the experience we had during our 3day stay. Place is very tastefully done, and perfectly blends with nature. Tanuja is a wonderful host and has superb staff- Prem and Chandan. They took care of all our requirements, and the food we ate, every single meal was the best I could have imagined. We did village, forest and river walk with Tanuja and all 3 were unique in itself. She has excellent knowledge of the flora and fauna and wonderful stories and experiences to share during those walks which were insightful and truly enjoyable. I can’t wait to visit again with my wife and daughter. Thanks a lot for giving us a memorable stay."

"Kasar Himalayas holiday homes is one the most beautiful property of Almora. I checked many other resorts but there is nothing as beautiful as this. Location is the just WoW. If you are lucky you can get to see great Himalaya peaks. Very calm serene, quite and blissful stay we had. We went in June and there was no need of any fan. Talking about the ambience, the interior of the Villa rooms are all pine wood from ceiling to flooring. Huge balconies with swing attached to each villas. Food was just too good. Must try Chines Cuisines. Worth staying. The entire family had a great time. Location is too good. Less than just a Km from Kasar Devi temple which is world famous for cosmic rays and divine winds. We went twice there and it was full of positive energy. If you are going to Almora, must visit Kasar Devi."

"We had a wonderful stay at WelcomHotel by ITC Jim Corbett. The property is set in a peaceful location, away from the noise of the city, making it an ideal place to relax and unwind. Our room offered beautiful views of the Kosi River and the surrounding hills, and waking up to that scenery every morning was one of the highlights of our trip. The hotel is very well maintained, and you can see the care that goes into keeping the property in excellent condition. We'd especially like to thank the restaurant team—Vishal, Lipun, Pawan, Pankaj, Jaya, and Manoj with Mr Neeraj heading the team. They were always courteous, attentive, and welcoming, and their friendly service made every meal enjoyable. The Activity Centre in-charge and the pool staff were also excellent. They were approachable, helpful, and happy to assist whenever needed, which added to the overall comfort of our stay. It was also nice to see the hotel employing people from the local community. It's always encouraging when a property supports the local economy while giving guests a warm and authentic hospitality experience. Overall, we had a peaceful and memorable stay and left with some wonderful memories. We would happily recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway close to nature, and we look forward to visiting again."

My wife had fallen and badly injured. All the stairs edges should be marked with florescent tape. Also First aid kit was not available , may be due to Holi. But Going forward these should be corrected , so other person will not face such issues in future. I am not raising complain ,should also take care compliance issue for all the registered hotel. "

The property boasts for a digital detox and this statement is true as the activities engage people of every age. The resort is well built beside Ramganga river adding to the serenity of the property. The rooms are also quite spacious and clean. A must visit place for nature lovers. Food was also upto the mark with lots of options and the ambience of the restaurant “The Top Pavilion” was also great. They also provided complimentary birthday cake. Although the resort is located at the farther end of the Jim Corbett , but it is worth going that far enjoying the ride through dense trees and hilly terrain."

"I first visited Kasar Rainbow Yoga Retreat two years ago, and it left a deep, lasting impact on me. Perhaps the credit goes to the serene, almost mystical vibe of Kasar Devi itself—beautifully blended with the retreat’s cosy, comfortable, and homely atmosphere. It’s a place that respects your privacy while still making you feel genuinely cared for. What truly sets this retreat apart is the warmth of the people. My interactions with the staff—Mr. Pandey, Mr. Puran, Mr. Shivraj, and especially the pillar of the place, Mr. Kamal—were always cordial and heartfelt. And of course, a special mention to its owner, Sarvajeet Singh Mehra, fondly known as Sabu, whose vision and presence give the retreat its soul. Since that first visit, Kasar Rainbow Yoga Retreat has become an annual ritual for me. I make it a point to spend at least a month here every year—to rejuvenate my soul, reconnect with myself, and truly centre my chi. Very few people are fortunate enough to find a place that resonates with them on such a deep level. I consider myself one of those lucky few. Хороший персонал, хорошая еда, отличное пребывание, хорошие помещения и горячая вода утром. Чистая и чистая комната с хорошими ванными комнатами и особенно удивительный вид. Просто недалеко от храма Биншвар Махадев и на шоссе до Бинсар 0 очко. С этого места можно следовать многочисленными следами.
