The Sun Inn Alnmouth

Had a fish platter on Saturday, excellent quality and value. Called in person on Sunday asked if they serve food on Monday “yes we do” so we booked a table and it was written in their book, turned up on Monday “sorry kitchen is closed” very disappointed very badly managed.

Lovely warm welcoming pub. Real fire, friendly helpful staff and good food. Vegan and gluten free options for my friend too. This was our second visit since the new management and we will be coming again.

Stayed here whilst walking the King Charles III England Coast Path, the Sun Inn is directly on the path. Very friendly and accommodating, they don't serve breakfast (Dec 2023) but gave recommendations for nearby establishments.

Absolutely fantastic customer service. I would give this amazing place a 1000/ 10 rating. The staff here went above and beyond and were amazing with me and my daughter from the beginning to end of our stay. Bradley got us booked in to a lovely, clean , warm and cosy room with plenty of space, very spacious bathroom with lovely shower. Television, double bed with cosy bedding and option of an extra blanket. Beautiful fluffy towels, mini fridge with fresh orange, coffee, tea, hot chocolate, biscuits, croissants for breakfast all in with the room cost. This was all sorted at very short notice for us due to a cancellation which we were upset about in a atrosious pub down the road. All the staff were extremely helpful and friendly making our day, night and stay here very pleasurable. Joanna, one off the staff was the nicest lady ever and went above and beyond for us. A beautiful lady inside and out. All the staff here were amazing. I would like to thank everyone once again for a really lovely time. I won't forget our time spent here with you. Food and drinks were amazing too. Can't wait to visit you all again.

We are a family of four, children 6 and 10. Went to Sun Inn for dinner while on holiday. Service really friendly and efficient. Children loved the pumpkin colouring competition. Food good, homecooked and tasty and well priced. Good menu and quite different. Good for adults and children. Children loved the add your own toppings to ice cream. Overall a really lovely a**osphere and meal.

Had dinner there the other night after a walk on the beach nearby and really enjoyed the warm and friendly a**osphere of the pub. We enjoyed some delicious kastu curry and some pie and chips and the service was really lovely. Five stars!

Eleven of us booked a Sat evening meal here after hearing the Sun Inn had new management and were very pleasantly surprised. The new team are marvellous. Food was great, pleasing three generations, and the service was friendly as well as efficient. Thank you for a lovely evening.

We stayed here for a night on a tour around the north of England, so only booked earlier that day. The staff were extremely pleasant and helpful. The room was comfortable and had everything required, although would have benefited from a small chair in the window. At the time we stayed they did not do breakfast or evening meals, but we knew that beforehand, so went across the road for an evening meal and drove into Alnwick in the morning for breakfast at Barter Books. There was parking available in the street nearby. We did think it was a little expensive, but the location was great and we had left it a bit late to book!

Excellent and professional service from experienced staff. High politeness and helpfulness. Very safe place. Excellent location. Lovely and friendly local people. Excellent place to relax.
