The Health Village

I never could have imagined such a wonderful pancha karma treatment! The doctors, nurses, therapists and entire staff were wonderful. The food was delicious and thoughtfully prepared according to Ayurvedic principles. When we first arrived, we were unsure if we could stay the full 3 weeks without getting restless. It only took a day or two before the combination of treatments and setting took effect and we relaxed into it with utter comfort. There were four of us who came together, and we each got individualized treatments according to our needs. It's a good thing we booked for 3 weeks, because the treatment is gentle, and we needed time for our bodies to respond. By the time our treatment came to an end, we felt wonderful and we never wanted to leave. There were many people there who had come multiple times before and, after staying there and receiving such loving treatment, I could see why. I would love to go back too!

I had a wonderful experience at THV. What impressed me most was the warmth, care & professionalism of the staff. I felt very welcome & deeply cared for. The food was excellent and my room clean & comfortable. The superb AM yoga class was another highlight.

On the banks of the river Periyar, the village has About 25 odd rooms spread across 3 blocks, each with its own treatment rooms. The doctor, nurses and therapists are while skilled practitioners also very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant has a great chef and support staff where only wholesome vegetarian fare is offered but extremely tasty and one that challenges the palette to describe each dish. The rooms are basic but air conditioned and comfortable enough and cleanliness and hygiene are tops. We made good friends in the informal restaurant atmosphere and s as the treatment ticked several boxes we look forward to returning at least once every year.

The Health Village is a magical environment. I can’t get enough of this place. Dr HARIN is amazing! He is caring, knowledgable, and he takes care of every single patient with full attention to their personal needs using specific Ayurveda treatments. Esther and the faculty at the reception take care of all your needs with patience and love. The food is fresh, well-prepared, and delicious. The therapists get to know your body and they know how to treat every muscle and joint with special care. Every time I leave the Health Village, I feel like a new person.

Loved our stay in the Health Village run by Kerala Ayurveda hospitals. My daughter and I spent 3 weeks here. The doctors, staff and the therapists are very professional, super helpful, very approachable and efficient. The location is very beautiful and tranquil. It is on the mighty periyar river and it is very quiet. My daughter and I spent many an evening sitting by the river watching birds and seeing sun go down. Highly recommend.

I went to the Health Village for a 3 week long stay. It is a residential centre for healing body and mind, providing accommodation with full board, yoga and meditation sessions, and the main feature is the Ayurvedic treatment supervised by the doctor. It is a calm place in our extremely fast spinning society. It was a great moment in every sense. The staff of the Health Village takes care of each person individually. They all made the extra mile(s) to make my stay great and to make my health improved. This way also I thank each person working there for the kindness and care! I highly recommend this place It is also the HQ of the Ayurvedic Academy.

"Spend time with yourself and pamper through wellness program", this is the only one sentence I would like to write for this place. First you forget about authenticity of Ayurveda treatments and result just visit to be relaxed, detoxification, lovely massage, healthy food, calm place and lots of time for your ownself. I don't care about my back pain, either it will reduce or stay same I just know this one week is mine and I spent it wisely. I regained my strength and rejuvenated. The stuffs are always happy to help you with a smile and Dr. Harin, RMO and nurses are all very helpful. They just don't treat they also educate you about your health and how they are working with your troubles. Binoj and his team pampering me with their beautiful massage which is part of my treatment. They are awesome, I'm glad that I choose this place, recommended my collogue who also gone through the same treatment for his back pain. I will come back every year minimum 10days from now. My learning from this health trip is "my body and my soul" also needs my attention. A relief from professional hazard and other tension which my body, soul and mind should get once in a year. Cons : why only veg option, why not small fish / egg once in a day(I'm a 100% non veg guy and can't remember when I ate veg food last time)
