"This hotel is historic and its in the heart of Annapolis which makes things easier for not needing your vehicle locally. It does take 20-30 min for the valet to retrieve your vehicle so plan ahead. I gave it an average for location because they have 3 buildings yet you wont know which you will be in. 1 queen beed room in the Maryland Inn building is small so be prepared. Also its an old building so you can hear the pipes and people in the halls. Also its near the street so you hear the drunk people outside. There is a bar/restaurant attached to the Maryland Inn building. The room has a TV and a mini fridge. The room is so small that the temp controlled by a single machine so it goes off every 5 min or so making the room extremely cold or hot. All in all I give this hotel a 3.5/5 . Staff was great. Hope this helps."

"Pros- Hotel is clean, new and has nice lounge area by bar with comfortable seating and big screen TV over fireplace.  Shower has great water pressure and plenty of hot water.   Cons- checking process was terribly slow for us and many others.   There was only one person working at check in time and line was long and slow.   Room was fairly tight, fridge was smaller than usual hotel mini-fridge, bathroom did not have a vent.   Breakfast was average- sausage and scrambled eggs all 3 days , yogurt with plenty of toppers (seeds, raisins, nuts etc), hard boiled eggs and store bought style bagels (not fresh) and no pastries. Coffee was NOT available shortly after breakfast was over.  Most hotels have coffee available all day."

"This is NOT a “luxury” hotel by any stretch. The rooms are nicely appointed but that’s it. Most importantly, the rooms do not have individual thermostats, just central air that you cannot control. My room was freezing and calls to the ‘concierge’ didn’t help. Unable to sleep at 12:30 I called to get an extra blanket but there was no staff on site. This seems to be consistent problem as other guests have complained of 80deg rooms. Further, despite the website advertising breakfast and cable tv, it has neither. They provide streaming service but it wasn’t working when I checked in and it took more than an hour to get it fixed. The website shows a lovely breakfast of avocado toast, hard boiled eggs and yogurt cups but they just offer some mini muffins and cake, no protein. When I raised that the website advertised these things, I was told they were sorry the hotel didn’t meet my expectations - as if they were unreasonable, not what’s on the website. Most importantly, a “luxury” hotel has professional, experienced and accommodating staff that address shortcomings but the staff here are not and when the hotel failed to be as advertised, staff acted as if this was my problem, not theirs. After i posted this review on Google, the hotel responded by saying it was speaking to legal counsel (!) good luck with that. So be warned, if you have a bad experience and post about it, the hotel management will try to threaten legal action."
