Avra Private Suites

Definitely 5/5 stars - I’d give more if I could. Incredible experience and I can’t recommend it highly enough! Location - it’s a 2-3 minute walk down to Makris Gialos Beach, which is an absolutely stunning beach. The view is also fantastic from the hotel. The garden is absolutely incredible - fig, pomegranate, lemon, lime trees, tomatoes, flowers, beautiful. It’s tough to find a better surrounding for any hotel anywhere. Breakfast - delicious and thoughtful - always prepared fresh that morning, with local recipes and every day it was a new salty, respectively a new sweet dish. Also served with coffee, bread, homemade jams etc. It was served outside of the room at a very nice table. Cleanliness - excellent. No complaints whatsoever. Everything was perfectly clean. Amenities - Very nice pool with lots of sun-beds (tip: very good, free alternative to the sun-beds down at the beach). Hospitality - Probably should’ve put this first - Maria, the owner, and the lovely ladies that prepared the breakfast and the rooms were incredible thorough our stay, always helpful, always kind. Can’t wait to visit again next year!

We are coming to the end of the most incredible family holiday. Avra Suites tick absolutely every box. In the perfect location between the airport and Port of Argostoli and sat above the most beautiful beach you could imagine. Maria and her team have left no stone unturned and their attention to detail and service is unrivalled. We are in the upper floor apar**ent which occupies the entire floor. 3 double bedrooms, jacuzzi/sauna room and huge living space. The icing on the cake are the many balconies that have uninterrupted views out to sea. Breakfast is sensational.

Stayed here for a week in July 2022 in the Doris suite. Everything about our stay was excellent and full value for money. Firstly it is in an excellent position in Lassi. Buses stop very close by, taxis are abundant and there's plenty of space to park a hire car. The building swimming pool and grounds are very well kept. The view over the sea and beach are lovely. The owners and housekeepers are extremely nice and helpful. The suite is comfortable and well appointed. If you wanted to stay in and cook the kitchen is more than suitable. One high point are the breakfasts! So fresh and tasty served on the balcony. Could not fault the Avra Private Suites and would recommend it to anyone.

We stayed at Avra in September 2022. It was our first time there, but we will definitely come back. If you are thinking how a relaxing accommodation with excellent service near the sea could be, then Avra Private Suites is the answer. Located on top of Makris Gialos beach and a 5-min drive to the center of Argostoli, it can be the perfect starting point for exploring the island of Kefalonia. The personnel (and the owners) were extremely friendly and always available to fulfil any special need we had for our baby. The homemade breakfast was just amazing; not the same evert day. We highly recommend Avra Private Suites and look forward to visit them again in the near future!

This was our much anticipated second visit to this beautiful resort and again, the service was exceptional. Friendly, professional and kind at every level. Sadly, we were here during the terrible storm which obviously marred our holiday somewhat but service with smiles carried on regardless, in truly challenging conditions. Special shout out to George in the bar who was great fun and a real asset. The photographs of this place are beautiful and it 100% measures up. Everything is beautifully designed and the a**osphere is very chill. The GM is a constant presence (great to see) and the whole team bend over backwards to welcome you. Don't hesitate to book. Tips; *take extra hangers if you're going for a while *replacement coffee pods now free *beach bag now provided*Umi restaurant at sister resort next door is worth a visit. They'll take you by buggy.

We spent 7 nights at the Avra Private Suites in July 22 and stayed in the Doris Suite. The room was immaculate and very well appointed with kitchen, bathroom, living area and bed area. The location of the property is fantastic. A short walk along the flat will bring you to the main shops, bars and restaurants. There is also a bus stop close by that you can catch the bus into Agrostoli and beyond. The pool area was lovely, with lot of choice of loungers and another brilliant view. The access steps to the beach were immediately outside of the property gates. We were also provided with a beach bag and beach towels in the room, which was a really nice touch! The breakfasts were out of this world. Served on the veranda that overlooks the beach, the fresh backed cakes, quiches, freshly squeezed orange juice and local produce were fantastic. We had sufficient food every day for lunch as well! Maria and her staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay.

Our week spent in Avra Private Suites was wonderful. The suite was spacious and to an excellent standard. We had our own private terrace, where breakfast was served every morning. The breakfast was exceptional and varied every day. The pool area and gardens are kept to a very high standard and are totally relaxing, it was like having our own private pool. You are very close to the beach and local restaurants and can walk to both within minutes. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they even provided things like beach towels, beach bags and a clothes dryer. We would definitely recommend staying at Avra Private Suites and look forward to returning.

Thanks to Maria and team for an extraordinary stay at their private suites. The welcome we received from Maria on the first day was the start of a fantastic holiday in Lassi. The location on the beach to the accommodation and the surroundings were phenomenal. Anything I say cannot not fully represent the the special breakfast that we received each morning from Murella, truly one of the highlights of the day. I am a Coeliac ( gluten intolerant) and requested if they might supply gluten free bread, but each morning, I received a breakfast full of gluten free meals. I was truly spoilt for choice. We will return someday to this fabulous hotel. Best wishes to Maria and her team for the future.

We stayed at the end of September in Alia, the Junior Suite with Side Sea View. The room was spacious and homely, and extremely clean. We loved having our breakfast served outside and could not believe the level of flavour, variety and presentation, and it was just so lovely each morning to sit and listen to the waves. The pool area is great with views of the beach and sea below. Bliss! Makris Gialos beach is less than 5 minutes away, and is so beautiful. We loved the the Costa Costa side and spent some very chilled out time there swimming in the gorgeous turquoise sea, laying on the sunbed and enjoying cocktails. Returning to the suite was always a pleasure and it was a superb place to enjoy the sunset, either from the pool or a quick walk down to the beach. It was nice to feel secluded and away from it all, even though the Lassi bars and tavernas were a gentle stroll away. I'm not one for returning to the same place, but would I stay here again? Yes yes yes! The the lovely staff, the feel of the place, the pool, proximity to the beach, the sunsets, the breakfasts... it all made for a super special place to stay. Thank you!
