Armidale Tourist Park

1st & 2nd May my husband & I spent 2 nights in a very small & not so clean cabin. We have stayed in different cabins in this caravan park before & they were OK. The cabin is old & tried. Mould on all the window frames. Pile of dirt on the floor under the table. TV didn't work. Shelf about TV not cleaned in a long time. Curtains all need replacing. Very disappointed because the park belongs to the G'Day park group.

We hired a cabin for one night. It was rundown. Only 1 of the 4 stove hotplates was working. The TV took 30 minutes to fine tune for it to work and the TV screen was not much bigger than a laptop. The cabin smelled terrible upon entering. The TV lounge was a leftover from the 1970s and was totally unsuitable and outdated. WE WILL NOT COME BACK HERE AGAIN OR RECOMMEND THE PARK

Beautiful, clean and quite place it was a pick on the way home, set away from Main Street so it is quite and hardly any traffic noice. Reception was open from 9 to 5pm, arrived after business hour, called the after hour service and they gave me the gate code to enter the park

Facilities,grounds,amenities everything was immaculate. Security gate at entrance. Friendly people,easy to check in. Grounds well manicured and very pretty with the changing colours of fall. Had firewood for the fire pit ready to go if you wanted..and we did a couple of nights. There was a jumping area for kids. It was too cold for the pool but it did look nice. Powered sites were great. The cabins looked clean and inviting too. Not too far from down town Armidale.

Overall the park needs to invest funds in upgrades and modernisation. Whilst it is in a lovely quiet setting with established trees & garden, the tennis court needs an upgrade, all the exterior buildings are in desperate need of a make over and better upkeep. Cabins very average, old cobwebs on the ceilings in the bathrooms, found a crusty 2 week old muffin under the couch, and again, the cabins just need money spent on their interiors, their exteriors, new outdoor settings etc etc.

We had an ensuite site for 3 nights. Ensuite a bit old and weary but worked well. Outdoor camp kitchen very tired but we found another indoor one that had been renovated, excellent for winter. Its a large park in a quite location not far from CBD. Quite a bit of renovations was happening around so should be better in the future. Lovely staff and a good array of tourist information. We would return here.

Our cabin was filthy, some places with built up grime, others never cleaned. Taps dripped 27/7, others didn’t work at all. Animal hair throughout some ‘cleaned’ cabins. The whole place needs a thorough clean, all the facilities (recreation room, gym) were also filthy. The place has all the elements the top parks have, but management are incompetent and letting the place slide into disrepair. The reception staff were friendly and helpful. A ray of sunshine on an otherwise rainy day.

Lovely quiet and peaceful caravan park, the ammenities were dated but more importantly they were always clean, the laundry was coin operated with good sized machines. The sites were a good size, clean and tidy and the staff were always friendly.

As a caravan park owner I could not believe this place. Gents amenities old and dirty, soap dispenser empty and huge stain down a shower. Luckily we were self contained. The park had a band playing for two nights until 10pm so loud that we had the TV on full volume and still struggled to hear. We were not advised that the band would be playing. When we complained after the first night the staff member basically did not care and said that as they had the group every year they always allowed the band to play. They could not have cared less. Their after hours message basically said call 000 or the cops. They do not allocate you a sight and so if you were needed to be contacted in an emergency they had no idea were you were. Garbage's not emptied daily and found used condom on the footpath.
