"A wonderful boutique hotel in a beautiful historic town. A major booking site rates it as #2 although on the day it scored higher than the one in top spot. The roads are narrow so if you come by car, park in the nearby free carpark and obtain the key code in advance. I recommend contacting the hotel direct to ensure the the best room for your needs. We had one of the suites (room 1) with a patio in the peaceful garden. There is another suite on the first floor with a large private balcony. Do your research because some of the rooms in all of the hotels will experience a little road noise. Our room was incredibly spacious and very peaceful. Air conditioning was quiet and effective. The twin beds are very comfortable and when placed together form a super, super king! This is a hands off hotel but someone is always available by phone. If you are high maintenance, it may not be for you. There is an honour bar and large fridge (very reasonable prices) plus tea and coffee machine. I found this better than a fridge in the room because they can be noisy. The staff are so caring and helpful. The continental breakfast is very extensive plus you only have to ask for a cooked breakfast if required. We've had the most enjoyable stay. Thank you."

"Our stay at this hotel was terrible. We were both bitten during the two nights we were there. Although the hotel insists there were no bed bugs, in our opinion there is no doubt that they were. We consulted a doctor, who confirmed that they were bites. When we reported the situation to reception, they told us it was too late to change rooms and the only solution was to change the sheets, which did not solve the problem; we were bitten again the second night. The hotel flatly refused to refund our money. But that's not the worst of it. The last straw: THREATS by phone and text message. After we left a review detailing our experience on ***********, the hotel owner called us to threaten us, saying he would come to France and beat us up. He then continued sending threatening messages, of which we have screenshots. *********** was informed of the matter, but due to the stress the situation caused us, we deleted the review. In addition: - Double charges and non-existent services. We were charged for the reservation twice on different days. We only received a refund after complaining, without a single apology. - There's no hot water in the afternoon (from 7 pm onwards). - Non-existent Wi-Fi. - They don't answer the phone. Conclusion: This has been the worst hotel we've ever stayed in. Not only because of the bites, but also because of the violent and threatening attitude of the owner. If you value your safety and peace of mind, stay away from this place."

"We contacted Hotel Forn Nou wanting to stay in May. We initially received a reply from someone called Toni but information in his response differed from the information on the hotel's website, particularly regarding the free cancellation period. In the email they said up to 30 days, where as on their website it said if you take the flexible rate it is free up to 1 day. We also asked them to clarify issues regarding the bathroom which they didn't respond to. We were holding a flight so immediately emailed back asking them to clarify the situation.We received no reply so, as we did not want to miss out on our flight, we tried two more times and again no one replied. I would add that another member of the family also tried and experienced exactly the same, i.e. they received an initial response but when they asked the hotel to clarify details, no response was received. In view of lack of clarification we felt unable to book and therefore no longer able to secure our flight at a sensible price. We are very disappointed particularly as the hotel mentions how good their customer service is; this was certainly not our experience!"

"A fantastic stay at the beautiful Nema boutique hotel. Every staff member was so friendly and kind, nothing was too much for them. The hotel was very modern and clean whilst still having many personal touches. We loved the spa and being able to reserve it just for us. The pool area was well kept and was very peaceful. The food was all very delicious too. The hotel is not too far from the town centre where there are lots of shops and restaurants. I celebrated my birthday whilst on our stay and the staff made my day very special. Thank you all again. We will recommend the hotel to our family and friends. Hopefully we will back too."
