My first surprise upon checking in at 7PM was that I had to pay the entire bill up front - are they that worried about theft? But okay, not a huge deal.
The room I was given was okay, but for the TV being set on what was apparently a "blind person" setting (where a voice over would narrate a description of what was happening onscreen for everything except commercials)...after I failed to figure out how to turn this off and the maintenance guy was useless, the clerk from the front desk came up and could not figure it out either - so very kindly put me into another room.
That room (on the 2nd floor) was okay, though the water pressure was minimal, but that afternoon a new situation with the TV. About 1/3 of the DishTV channels, which had worked earlier in the day, simple stopped - when tuned to those stations the LG TV just displayed a moving cube stating "no signal". Again, the front desk had no idea what to do (did management not pay the bill? Is Dish that bad a service?) and naturally the stations I was hoping to watch were among those no longer working.
So those things made for a less than pleasant stay. Again, at least it was clean, the bed was not terrible, and the road noise from I-35 (50 yards away) was tolerable.
