We go on several occasions for a lovely lunch which is always very enjoyable indeed and extremely freshly made fantastic food, wonderful staff, excellent altogether thoroughly enjoyable time we always have in Mary Vale. Beautiful freshly made sandwiches, delicious afternoon teas, beautiful tray and sweet things also with fantastic tea and coffee a really enjoyable time it’s always had in Maryville. Ryan McCartney.

Check-in was very unsatisfactory . I emailed several days before I arrived to say I’d be there after 6 pm. Arrived to find ‘closed’ on the door. No-one on site. Only thanks to my taxi driver that he found a number to contact them. They had sent me an email at 5 pm the day of my arrival ( I was in transit) to say my key was behind a plant on the doorstep. Also, they do not accept card payment.

On my way home from Belfast City Hospital my friend treated me to lunch in this beautiful Tea Room. The lady who served us was efficient and friendly. Our sandwiches were delicious: a club sandwich and a Brie, grape and mango, my friend had soup and we both had tea in china cups. We couldn’t resist the delicious selection of desserts and had lemon meringue pie and a chocolate brownie. I loved the whole experience and look forward to my next visit.

This was just thee most beautiful place to stay. So pretty everywhere you looked. Amazing staff, very clean and a stunning building. We arrived home from a concert and let ourselves in the front door via our key. There was fresh scones and buns waiting for guests on the first floor, along with tea and coffee sachets. Amazingly thoughtful touch. The room was decorated in keeping with the rest of the hotel. We stayed in the earl grey room. It would have absolutely got a 5* from me if it hadn’t have been for the shower in our room. The shower 100% needs replaced. It’s at the point of no return with mould, it even had a mouldy smell. Happens to them all. Also I would rejig the bathroom. You have to squeeze past the sink to get in the shower, impossible for a bigger person. Will definitely return

Nice accommodations in Belfast. Lovely room, clean & spacious. They have a little parking lot, it’s pretty full during the day but there’s lots of room for street parking if needed. Breakfast was amazing & included in the price of the room. We enjoyed our stay.

We went as a family and had a very enjoyable lunch. Our lunch was served to us in pristine condition and it was really very enjoyable. Indeed the sandwiches I had were not fully on the menu but they were able to make me a sandwich of my choice, which was very enjoyable indeed. we were well looked after and the staff were excellent. Coming to see if we needed anything more and getting me a top up of coffee. It was very nice indeed thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and will definitely be back. Ryan, McCartney.

Gorgeous place..however it has such a narrow choice of food if gluten free or possible other dietary requirements. ...just a bit more choice in the menu would be great to cover all needs, or even a more updated menu all round.... lovely place to feel relaxed and away from the maddening crowd ....however, my food order was changed without even asking me (twice) which is unacceptabè, and it only takes one member of staff to be discourteous to customers who are giving custom to a business, to change the atmosphere of a place. To be honest, the food and portions does not justify the price, and has room for improvement.

This was my second visit to Maryville House Tearooms for breakfast and it was even better than the last visit which was just after covid times when everything had been scaled back. The staff are very friendly and efficient. Service was excellent, only 5 minutes or less before tea and coffee arrived. I had arrived early, ahead of my friend and was offered something to drink whilst waiting and water was served to me immediately. The food was superb, freshly made, huge portions and arrived 10mins after ordering. We were offered top ups of coffee and tea during the meal. The place itself is just picture perfect and styled in keeping with the period of the property, very tastefully done. My tea was served in a pretty little china cup and saucer and the tea itself wasn't just bog standard breakfast taste, there was a little hint of extra flavour to it which I couldn't quite put my finger on, delicious! I had the vegetarian breakfast which was delicious and my only criticism being that there was so much on the plate that I couldn't finish it, even though I tried! My friend had the porridge which was also a very generous portion. Bathroom was spotlessly clean and plenty of soap, loo roll etc. At no point did we feel rushed to leave the table, it was a Thurs morning so relatively quiet and very relaxed. I will definitely be back for future visits. Thank you again to the waiting staff and chef for another very enjoyable visit!

Maryville House is a wonderful Tea Room and boutique hotel. An absolute gem! From the moment we arrived the staff could not have been friendlier. On our first morning they served breakfast half an hour earlier so that we could go on our day trip to the Giant’s Causeway. Every day, outside our room, there was fresh milk and water in the fridge and cakes or other sweet treats from the tea room. Our room was fairly small but very comfortable and with everything you need. The location of Maryville House is perfect - a 10 to 15 minute taxi ride to Belfast centre but with a wide range of restaurants, cafes and shops within easy walking distance. If we return to Belfast we would definitely stay here. Highly recommended.

Me and my husband stayed here for 3 nights in August. This is the first b&b we've ever stayed in. It's located about 15 minutes away from the city centre. We enjoyed our stay at the maryville house b&b. The room was lovely and the tea and coffee facilities where a great touch. There is a few things in the room that could do with being looked at firstly the bed kept squeaking when you moved on it which got abit annoying but could be easily fixed. One of the shower doors kept hanging off but we where able to fix it for the time we where there but could do with being looked at for future guests. Other than that the room was spacious and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was delicious and had a good variety to choose from and also very generous portions. There's also plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby which is useful. Overall we had a pleasant stay and would recommend it to others and would look at staying here again when we next visit belfast.

The only tea house in Northern Ireland that has so much character charm amazing food and lovely staff Been coming here for years and nothing changes :-) Thank you Nicole , Catherine and Christine for your amazing breakfasts and the best Lemon 🍋 Meringue.

This place ****** to be frank. We went when it was really hot, and muggy out. Something they don’t disclose is they have no A/C, fans, etc. the staff was rude and dismissive. When we were trying to get our suitcases down the stairs, it was obvious that we needed help, but no one helped us. Even though they each passed us 2x. The shower works weird and is very outdated, there is VERY little room between the shower and the sink. Impossible for a bigger person to squeeze through. We were told the room in which we stayed (Earl Grey Room) was up 2 flights of stairs, which it was not. When I looked for our room on the 2nd landing I was told “oh no honey, that’s not your room.” Which had a rude undertone for no reason. Our room was up about 4/5 flights of stairs. My bed cover had a few yellow stains on it. Water was warm, no Ice, and tasted weird. No one here was nice. The only thing that was nice was how cute the room was. It would’ve been cuter if this was actually a good experience, which it was not.
