Walking distance to downtown Matlacha for great restaurants, shopping and the small fishing village experience. Kayak around on the water to see all kinds of wildlife like birds, fish, dolphins, and an occasional manatee. Its all about the WOW!! Your Matlacha adventure begins at this chic 3-bedroom 3 full bath house. This home has been rebuilt and has a Hidden room. Keep it to yourself and let your guest in on it when the time is right. Don’t put your dog in the kennel. Small dog ok for addl fee. Let me know at time of booking. Each bedroom features a new cozy queen bed and bamboo sheets. Master bedroom faces the water side. You cannot be any closer to the water unless you were sleeping on the dock. This fun home has a boat dock, bbq grill, therapy lights, white noise sound machines, video arcade game, wifi, usb outlets, a washer/dryer, ac, tv's board games and more. Your family will have FUN and not want to leave. The full 3 bathrooms are stocked with essentials like a hair dryer, shampoo's, soaps, towels, and detergents. Coffee & Tea is provided at the coffee/wine bar. This home is on a quiet street. Home sleeps up to 7 people. The 7th person would have an air mattress or couch. Please message if you need a 2nd home we have another beautiful one right next door. . Boat launch is 1/2 mile away and you can take your boat around to the back of the house and tie it to the dock. Fishing is great in Matlacha. Take your boat or a ferry ride to Cabbage Key for the world famous cheeseburger in paradise. Some of the restaurants on the island are Micelllis, CWFudge and ice cream, The Perfect Cup, Yucatán, Blue Dog, Kickstands, and Pho Grill just reopened. Grocery store is 1.5 miles away. Public salt water pool 10 minutes away by car. Historic Fort Myers 25 min away by car. P.S. For remote workers, we provide the highest-speed internet available with Xfinity and two Roku TVs. The dining nook is perfect for working remotely with amazing water views, and the kitchen features beautiful Brazilian quartzite, mimicking our shoreline. Every detail of this property reflects high-end craftsmanship, having been recently gutted and remodeled by a local craftsman artist.We highly recommend bringing your own kayaks or renting from Gulf Coast Kayaks. While a small shallow boat might be able to dock at our cement pad, we have not tried it yet.Fishing, dolphin watching, and bird watching off the dock are highly recommended, but swimming is not advised. Consider taking a day trip to Costa Maya from Pine Island for the best beach in the US, or explore other amazing beach options via ferries and tours departing from Pine Island and Matlacha.Please be aware that our dock was unfortunately destroyed by Hurricane Ian, and we hope to have it replaced in the future. Our patio space is shared with the other Matlacha Cottages and is also a "use at your own risk" amenity. Due to our location on these beautiful open waters, we must include this insurance verbiage. The house features 2 queen beds, 2 bathrooms with a hair dryer, and convenient amenities like a washing machine, AC, and heat plus a large outdoor space. Spend your days or evenings relaxing in our fully screened lanai which features ample seating , smart tv, an outdoor shower and bathroom as well as a flattop grill to enjoy the day’s catch. 2 single and 1 double kayak are yours to explore with and room to tie off a smaller boat. The evenings on the water are magical and we are just a few hundred feet to open water. Fantastic local restaurants are within walking distance as well as a fresh fish market and many gift shops. This colorful and quirky island puts off a vibe like no other in the area, it’s a wonderful experience!
