"The hotel is quite expensive for what you get in terms of the room itself. However, the spa and sauna facilities are beautiful, well worth using, although they require an additional fee. Breakfast is à la carte rather than a full buffet, and the waiting time for the food can be quite long, to the point where it becomes a little boring. Personally, I prefer a buffet breakfast. On the plus side, the hotel is in a great central location, making it very convenient for sightseeing. There’s also a public drinking water fountain right outside the hotel where you can refill your water bottle."

Каждый член команды был готов помочь и стремился к тому, чтобы все было идеально. Инфраструктура отеля впечатляет. Спа-центр и зоны отдыха чистые, расслабляющие и ухоженные, создавая идеальное место для отдыха. Сам отель прекрасен, с комфортабельными номерами и приятной атмосферой, что сделало мое пребывание еще более приятным. Еда также была превосходной. Завтрак предлагал большой выбор блюд, все свежее и вкусное, и все блюда, которые подавались на протяжении моего пребывания, были высокого качества. Персонал ресторана был внимательным, и обед был превосходным. В целом, я получил огромное удовольствие от своего пребывания и настоятельно рекомендую отель Palace Hotel & Spa всем, кто посещает Бакстон. Сочетание исключительного сервиса, превосходных удобств и вкусной еды сделало мой визит незабываемым и приятным. Я с нетерпением жду возможности вернуться в будущем."

"We took our girls youth group on a weekend residential. The building and grounds are beautiful. Everything was clean and tidy. A communal dining area and kitchen with everything provided was available to use. Hot chocolates were made and a lovely breakfast was provided. Rooms were clean and tidy and just perfect for us. I highly recommend staying here!"

"We booked our stay as we were going to the Opera House on the Friday and decided to make a weekend of it. All of the hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The rooms were spotlessly clean and having heating that worked was a great bonus! The breakfast choice was good - continental was a good range of cereals and yogurts, fruit; wholemeal and white sliced bread and toasters that worked :-) there was a good range of jams and spreads and freshly baked (cold) croissants - these were delicious. The first day I had the full English and my mum had the bacon and cheese oatcake. The food arrived piping hot and was good quality. The second morning we both just had bacon and poached eggs (the eggs were perfect!). On the Sat night we ate in the restaurant and again the service was excellent! I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious and the best pie steak pie I've had in years! My mum had a starter for her main as she wasn't that hungry - she went for the prawn and noodles. It was actually quite substantial. Overall, I would recommend this hotel for the excellent service and location - 10 min walk or a very cheap taxi ride into town or the station. My mum was having trouble walking so we had to get a taxi from the station (and back) and also to and from the Opera House - each journey was just £3.50. I would recommend using AtoZ cars."

"This is my best hotel experience, I was waited on my Vol who bless him tried his best to provide all I needed even gave me tips on how to get around the town. Their breakfast was top notch, was served as if I was at the Ritz’s Hotel. His wife was the chef and my God, she was good l, very large portions. Packed some in a lovey box, see pic and made hot chocolate to go as I was in a hurry for two day. God bless you both🥰🙏 Thanks again, will surely come back❤️🤎"

Каждый год я встречаюсь там с очень старыми друзьями, чтобы мы могли наслаждаться Международным фестивалем Гилберта и Салливана вместе. Наши дни начинаются с "правильного" количества внимания и дружбы Пола, и мы извлекаем выгоду из навыков приготовления Сары. Прекрасное и расслабляющее место с супер комфортными кроватями, а также хорошо оборудованные комнаты, близко к центру Бакстона. Попробуй, ты не будешь сожалеть!"

"Stayed here for a 3 night break. We recieved a very warm welcome and were shown to our room. The room was spotless, comfortable and we felt relaxed as soon as we arrived. The staff here were absolutely lovely and could not do enough to make our stay comfortable. There is plenty of chocie at breakfast and all the options we tried were delicious. We had two evening meals here as well and both were really enjoyable - great cocktails too. The hotel is located in a great locotaion for exploring the Peaks but also if you just wanted a quiet break it is a lovely place to relax. We will definitley be back!!"

"This YHA is in such a beautiful location! We stayed in a private room, the beds were clean and comfortable and most importantly for me the showers were hot and had good water pressure! The host here, I forget her name, young blonde girl (early 20's maybe?), she was amazing, made us feel so at home, chatting and laughing away with my mum (who also loved the place) We will definitely return!"

The accommodation is comfortable, well equipped and clean. Our welcome was as friendly as you can get with Paul coming out to greet us personally and show us around. "The Merchant's Yard is a true hidden gem. Our travel agent found it for us (we're from the states), and our two-night stay was not enough. From the gorgeous, newly renovated rooms (comfiest beds I've ever stayed in during a hotel visit!) to the overall vibe and layout and hospitality, I would go back in a heartbeat. But let's talk about the food also; the breakfast was outstanding, and the croissants were the best I've ever had in my life (and I'm very critical of croissants!) For dinner, the fish n' chips were outstanding, as well as the burger (that's high praise, because England usually can't get a burger right), and the dessert was absolute perfection. I can't wait to return eventually. What an incredible experience."
