**Extremely Disappointed - Poor Hygiene and Service** **Review:** I recently stayed at HSM Canoris Park hotel and unfortunately contracted gastroenteritis during my visit. Arriving on the Sunday, by the Monday I was hospitalised and that is where I spent the remainder of my “holiday”. This was an extremely unpleasant experience that was due to poor hygiene standards at the hotel. Despite bringing this serious issue to the attention of the management, their response was shockingly inadequate. The service throughout my stay was already subpar, but their handling of my complaint about the illness was even worse. There was a complete lack of support and empathy, and they did not take any responsibility for the situation. I expected a much higher standard of cleanliness and customer care from a hotel of this supposed caliber (although since booking last December, the hotel has dropped a star and now I can see why). I strongly advise future guests to reconsider their stay here if they value their health and well-being. This experience has certainly deterred me from ever returning, and I hope the management takes immediate steps to address these issues to prevent future guests from suffering a similar fate.

Do not go to this hotel - both myself and my partner caught severe gastroenteritis/dehydration from here and ended up being admitted to hospital which was over an hour away. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. We have contacted the hotel and had a response from them stating that they are not accepting responsibility for our illness and that we are to blame - with them commenting that our sickness is down us not looking after our own health when we were in exceptional health prior to staying at this hotel. We also heard multiple other people stating that they had sickness whilst staying at the hotel. Please please please avoid!!

So… I have been to Majorca previously at HSM Club Torre Blanc which is a sister hotel of Canarios Park and booked specifically as I knew the standards were good. On the whole, although not a bad holiday, I wish I had gone back to Torre Blanca in Sa Coma. Firstly, it was actually a larger hotel than I thought and I am never a fan of large hotels, although it wasn’t huge just bigger than I thought but that isn’t a bad thing. There were 4 pools all suited in their own way. Splash pool and the pool next to it with bar and sport complex was amazing and so, so safe for younger children. There is also a cooler shader small children’s pool that is perfect if you need to keep little ones cooler and a bit more secluded and quiet. Other main pool is great but deep and my older lot loved that, although was scary that the main entertainment complex was next to this pool and evening bar and I was always worked about children falling in walking in between (but I suppose if you are a good parent and supervise it isn’t a problem!) On check in we were supposed to have 3 rooms together as a party of 12 with 4 adults and 8 kids aged 14, 12, 10, 10, 8 , 7, 4 and 9 months but they split us over THREE FLOORS! Not only that two out of three rooms were not balcony rooms which I had booked. They blamed this on my travel agent not informing them of the bookings and different names etc… I disbelieve but not one to moan and we made do. Family rooms were nice and big and spotless, but beds a little hard and my air con didn’t work and good luck getting good water pressure for a nice shower, but hey, we made do not wanting to complain. The WHOLE place is IMMACULATE and spotlessly clean but despite this two kids in the party became ill with the sickness bug others have said despite careful eating and bottled water only… a staff member confessing the Mr Whippy had been closed that day due to testing unsafe and 25 kids being ill… The bar staff and entertainment team, cleaning team were so lovely and couldn’t help more or make you feel looked after on a personal level but the reception staff could do with some training from them! Reception were not helpful the room situation and I had to fight for replacement bedding when the kids were ill in middle of night. Food is fine, but yes. Repetitive after a few days but expected from a 3 star but just say… their sister hotel Club Torre Blanca had better food. Overall, I wouldn’t go back due to some minor annoyances that I think need to be addressed by management, but the staff were great. Beach Cala Antena is great for kids albeit a pain to get to if you have younger kids but when there is so safe and snorkelling great there. Only a ten minute walk but awkward with buggies. They do need an ATM on site too as was annoying as town is 25 min walk, although a taxi is only 5 euros. Personally, go to Torre Blanca instead!

If you get a good deal on this hotel then great but I really wouldn't pay over £1000 for it we got this holiday for £840 so it was a bargain il start with the positives pools are great especially the kids one bars and entertainment team fantastic they work really hard to make your day and evening fantastic rooms are very clean and so is the restaurant. Now for the negatives second day in we had an issue with some stuff going missing in the room it got sorted and resolved very quickly by the management there. The lady in the shop very rude !! My son brought some toys in there' within ten minutes it was broken we took it back and she refused to let us swap it she started to shout and telling us to get out this led to a massive argument with her in the shop to which again the management got involved and they let us swap it so do not use her !! Get a taxi for 5 euros or get the free mini bus and buy stuff in the town, food is standard very basic chips and pasta and salad and fish everyday we did eat out once as we fancied something different to eat overall it was an average holiday we never got sick on slushies or fish like some have been commenting

It’s a 3 star hotel, I’m currently on my last few days here and all honesty it’s fine the rooms are clean the food … well very little choice but you’ll generally find something to eat. Location it’s in the middle of no where so if your the type of people who like to sit around a pool all holiday taking advantage of the all inclusive this is a great hotel. I’ve personally got a little bit bored walked into the town which is very small few souvenir shops and a little beach which was pleasant. Not really many trips to go on. Nothing that really suited my 2 year old. My son also caught a sickness bug which wiped him out for 3 days so that was a shame apparently a lot of people in the hotel have it. I genuinely think it’s a virus as he hasn’t eaten or drunk from the hotel as I brought food for him with me. All in all a nice little break away.

All inclusive 10 day holiday. Good value for money. Food was fine especially lunch with paella on offer daily. Pools were good especially the kids splash pool. Life guards at 2 main pools. Entertainment team were fun for adults and kids and work very hard to make sure people enjoy their holiday. Location is a bit of a let down as nothing near by although the hotel provides a complimentary 8 seater bus to take you to beach and back but be aware driver will pack as many of you as possible. This is a family hotel and was let down by noise from other rooms all along the floor, rooms above and below. We had a horrible experience on our 1st night when family next door were fighting and hitting kids. Reported to reception who sent security but they were not removed so next day we asked to be moved and was allocated a room on floor above, still noisy but at least no fights. Personally we would not re visit this hotel due to noise and location but it has some great staff

After reading some bad reviews prior to going we were starting to get concerned about what we were letting ourselves in for at this hotel. The only thing that we found which we would say is a negative was the noise levels - the walls are paper thin so you could hear a pin drop. We had no trouble finding something to eat everyday. Experienced no sickness or infestations as described in the reviews. Didn’t have ice but we did brush with tap water ect… The local town is about a 15 minute walk- there are lots of shops and back streets to walk around, Bars and restaurants. Porto Cristo - local bus ride there. Was nice to get out and do something but max couple hours or so. Overall a lovely holiday and would recommend

room was very clean, cleaners in daily. staff all very friendly especially the barmen Juan in particular was so lovely. The food was plentiful and hot perhaps a bit repetitive but for a 3 staff hotel you can’t complain. Shop hotel very expensive. You can hear everything between rooms just to be aware. Don't think it’s the place for couples without kids as I’d say it’s 95% families with young children. The staff could be stricter on the adults only pool as often there was nowhere quiet to relax. Always got a sun lounger. A suggestion also to have a small area in the dining room for adults only would have been nice. The entertainment was ok. I think for a budget friendly holiday with a young family it would be perfect but as a childless couple I would probably look elsewhere.
