Crown Hotel ★★★

"It is such a shame as it would have been a 5 however there were issues with the service. The food, comfort, entertainment were all great and cannot fault the food at all. The staff consisted of two young women and a young guy, who they themselves were lovely, polite and friendly however there was a consistent delay in being served at our table. We ordered a bottle of wine when we arrived and while looking at the menu. One of the girls came to get our food order and we explained that we were still waiting on our wine. 10 mins later, the guy said they had no 750ml bottles and had to get one and it was now being chilled so we asked for 2 individual bottles while we were waiting. Food came, individual bottles finished during eating our meal then we were sitting waiting to order desserts when the bottle of wine arrived. No thanks meal was over. We had to ask twice to get desserts as well. I wouldn't have said it was over busy for a Saturday night but was a shame how it dampened our night a bit. Would still return though."

"Stayed for two nights at this very welcoming guest house Perfect for touring the Trossachs, hosts very friendly and the property itself is full of character. rooms are cleans and well appointed, bathrooms modern Breakfast is cooked to order and is excellent, staying for dinner is highly recommended. "We stayed at the CYP pods. What a gem of a find. Immaculate with lovely little touches. So clean and comfortable with amazing views and a very short walk to town. Lovely and cosy.Beds very comfortable and everything you need after a day of walking. We really didn't want to leave. Only stayed one night but for sure will be back.. check in and out was easy and a very peaceful location. Thank you."
