Hostel Valentin 2

You get what you pay for. I needed to be as close to the bus station, due to my next day early departure and this hostel is just 2 minutes away. The hostel is on the 2nd floor of the rundown block of flats, which recently had signs of fire. On my arrival I was greeted by a volunteer, who immediately asked me to take my shoes off, but I was very reluctant as the floors were dirty and from the hall I saw dirty and unclean, smelly place. I had a single bed in 4 beds room, with 4 lockers under the bunk bed, but no lockers were available. I was told to wait for the owner to get the keys. When the owner arrived, he was rude to me and failed to look for the keys to lock my valuables, so we had a little argument. On the other side, as soon as I said I was from Slovakia and spoke my language and some Macedonian language his attitude towards me changed. He still failed to provide me with the keys, so he locked my back in the kitchen bench, as it was the only key he could find. Because I insisted on the locked valuables, he told me he would wait for my arrival from the town and he indeed did. As soon as I returned the keys, he left. Apar**ent was completely full, toilet and bathrooms always busy, so only got a chance to have a shower in the morning. There were notices all over the place, some nice from the travellers, but many notices of restrictions, such as: don't use the washing machine, don't ring the bell, no one will open as I don't live here, don't cook fish, don't cook BBQ, don't make noise.....On the other hand, many helpful notices about the sightseeing's and busses to nearby places, countries. I sat in the kitchen area with a lady from Taiwan for approximately 10 minutes, but we were told off for being there and for talking. I didn't sleep a minute as it was very noise from the main street and bugs and mosquitos were eating me alive. One of the worst hostels and I wouldn't recommend it to my enemy. I also want to mention the rudeness and inconsideration of the fellow roommates. These reviews are for us, travellers, so please be considerate of each other. It was disgusting when a guy threw all his belonging on the floor, ate his food and empty, smelly food containers left on the floor when the kitchen and sink were just behind the door. And when he woke up in the morning and walked in the kitchen, he didn't even say hello. Just arrogantly walked passed straight on the balcony to smoke. Please, don't do this when you are sharing the room with strangers.
