Chateau les Oliviers de Salettes

Could not have asked for a better stay. Absolutely stunning chateau set in the most beautiful countryside. Was there at the end of winter and it was still just as pretty. The rooms are large and beautifully decorated. The staff went out of their way to accomodate any request large or small and were very patient with my terrible french. Special thanks to Mak and Xavier for their help during my stay.

I can't say how wonderful our time there was. The stuff is so friendly and they understand how to make the hotel an special place. The hotel it self is fantastic and we couldn't ask for any better. We will definilty come back as soon as any possible

We visited the Grill restaurant. The service was excellent, as was the location in the grounds of the hotel offering protection from the strong breezes that are synonymous with the region. The burger was excellent, my steak entrecote was rather chewy sadly. We look forward to returning as hotel guests in the future.

The setting in a large park added to the charm of this nicely renovated château. We stayed in a junior suite. A large terrace and nice swimming pool are especially nice during summer time. A lot of nice villages also with nice restaurants close by.

Very friendly reception and the room was comfortable enough, but we were disappointed with our stay. The room was in an outbuilding that really had none of the charm of the historic property. There were no windows, just a door that opened onto a walkway for other rooms, so not much privacy. We never saw inside of the main house beyond reception- the dining room was closed and there was no common areas or access to the inside. The outside areas are nice but interiors are a draw with these kinds of properties, so that was unfortunate. But our biggest issue was with the restaurant. Everyone working there was very nice but the service overall was very disorganized. The staff seemed very unsure of what they were doing and the food was nothing special at all. There was no help on selecting wines, and options were limited. We left here feeling like there are some nice people and a beautiful space, but it's too poorly managed for any of these features to really shine, or to make it worth the price.

What a wonderful hotel! Service was professional, friendly and efficient. Our bedroom (42) was perfect for a two night stay and the bed was comfortable. Dinner and breakfast were top notch, although more choice on the dinner menu would be good if staying for longer. And the views/location are the icing on the cake.

We stayed for one night on the way south. It is a beautiful hotel with wonderful grounds. The staff were helpful and attentive. The breakfast was amazing. The bedroom air con could have been better but it was a hot day.

We have been looking very much forward to this venue. After all this is a higher priced accommodation and so our expectations have been similarly high. The hotel is a blast! Very nice welcome at the reception and a spectacular room in the tower of the castle. Then we went for dinner and it starts: having an apperitive at the bar. Not so easy. We were waiting for 20min until someone recognized us. Ordered, and then 10min nothing. Someone else came and we had to reorder to wait another 15min for the drink. A good drink, no doubt. Then over to the dinner: it took the team 30min to present us the menus, another 25min for our first drink. So one hour in, we ask for a wine recommendation and the sommelier comes with wines stating we nevertheless don’t know the wines. Interesting, he could have tried us. Between the courses at least 30min waiting time. Arrogant further recommendations on other wines (e.g. I brought it you will like it and pouring - wait, I want to know what’s in my glass). Breakfast was the same. Annoyed and over stressed waiters. Conclusion: Hotel and rooms are amazing, anything around food and drinks, chaos. Not sure we are coming back here.

We had a family holiday here in mid August whilst travelling around France. This was our favourite château, We had a fantastic room but there was a bad smell from the toilet/ air conditioning which was a shame. The manager at reception Carolin was great and helped deliver a great stay thank you Carolin. We enjoyed the beautiful views and pool area. The breakfast was good but not always fully available and alot of flies around the food which I found strange that an ultraviolet trap was not placed in the area. Food offer was limited for children and the restaurant was definitely a fine dining experience, great for adults and special occasions. Surrounding green areas were beautiful there was lots of parking too the rooms were very clean and the hotel was well maintained would definitely recommend to friends and family.
