We stayed in this lovely, clean and bright bed and breakfast during Hurricane Lee. The very best little place to be storm stayed! We arrived the day before Hurricane Lee arrived. We were welcomed with freshly made cookies left in the front hall with our keys and a note from Val saying she would see us in the morning. Coffee and tea and muffins were also available the evening we arrived. We had a wonderful breakfast buffet in the dining room. Val had prepared fresh scones, muffins, delicious egg dish, fruit, cheese and meat, and a little yogurt and granola platter. The tables were beautifully set for guests with lovely pottery dishes. Immediately after breakfast the power went out till the following day due to the arrival of Hurricane Lee, which was actually downgraded to a tropical storm. Roads were closed due to downed trees and storm surge so we cancelled our reservation in Peggy’s Cove and remained safe at this sweet bed and breakfast for another evening. Val even prepared a charcuterie for us that evening. The home was so cozy and bright even with no lights working. It has been recently decorated with new paint, lovely furniture and modern but classic home decor. We were welcome to read or play games in the living room and dining area while we were storm stayed. Power was still out the second morning so our hosts kindly travelled to the next town to get coffee and muffins for us before we came downstairs. We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast when travelling through Mahone Bay area.
