Apartamentos El Guarapo

Another great stay at El Guarapo. All good from the information provided ahead of arrival, the welcome and efficient admin at Reception and the allocation of a first floor apar**ent as we requested. The apar**ent contained all we needed for comfort and for making breakfast and snacks if required (we ate out every evening). Plenty of space, storage, kitchen utensils and appliances and a comfortable bed with mattress topper and good bed linen. Shower was excellent and always a good supply of piping hot water as the apar**ent has its own water heater/boiler so you aren't impacted by other guests using supplies. Air conditioning not required as windows can be opened to keep a good air flow, although that might not have been sufficient during the recent abnormal heatwaves! We found the pool area much quieter than on previous visits - more sunbeds available and we never had any issues. Pool itself was cool due to the lively winds but the area around the pool was clean and the vibe chilled. Cleaning ahead of arrival was thorough, during our stay towels were changed every other day when the apar**ent was also given an interim clean (bathroom cleaned, floor mopped, bins emptied) Easy to keep tidy between times as you would probably do at home - this is not a 5 star luxury hotel so expectations should be set accordingly! The location of El Guarapo is excellent being close to Playa Bastian, a selection of good restaurants, supermarkets, bus stop and an easy 10 minute stroll from the centre of the action in CT. We see no reason to look for alternative accommodation when we next visit Costa Teguise. Thanks to all concerned

Absolutely a gem of a place Only booked due to reading the reviews and loved the fact that people have kept coming back to these apar**ents Paid slightly more but definitely worth it Loved the Spanish menu with local produce used and simplicity If you want burgers chips and loads of beer this isn’t the place for you Rooms clean and apar**ent modern Quiet Would definitely come back again and again I just need to book

First time in Costa Teguise in over 20 years but loved it. Definitely more built up than last time but still small enough compared to P Del Carmen etc. Got dropped off in the dark by Jet2 at Playa Bastian bus stop on the main road and given a map to the El Guarapo apar**ents, which was slightly disconcerting. However, was literally a 5 minute walk from the bus stop - 2 streets up and turn right. Got to the apar**ents and reception was closed (operates 9-5) but found a letter taped to the front door giving us the code to get into the complex and details of our apar**ent and told to check in next day. Was all actually pretty simple tbh just unexpected. The apar**ent was bright and clean and near the pool. Nice living room area and fully equipped kitchen with fridge and freezer and grill/oven. Bedroom with plenty of storage. Beds comfortable enough. Large bathroom and superb large shower. Pool area lovely. Plenty of sunbeds as a lot of people must go to the beach. Only minor complaint is a lack of umbrellas. Fine in May but I think mid summer would be scorching and not much cover. Only about 3 umbrellas and a couple of trees for shade. It would literally only take 3-6 more umbrellas to fully cover the area. Small snackbar that also serves breakfast. Open 8.30-10.30 and 11.30-3.30 (although it was 4pm most days) snacks at lunchtime couldnt be faulted. Drinks pretty cheap. Complex is about a 5 minute walk down to the front and lovely walk along the coast into the centre takes about 15 mins or you can cut across a path just outside the property and be in the centre inside 5 mins. Couldn't be closer. We paid for a late check out room on last day. 50 euros but tbh was worth it. could relax and enjoy our last day and then leave and head straight to bus stop for pick up. No rushing to the shower room mid afternoon etc. All in all loved our trip and will be back. Probably try to book direct next time as Jet2 very expensive for next year (we have already looked ;-) ).

Another memorable stay with family & friends. Great to see all the lovely staff again. A small apar**ent complex in a side road, very quiet but close enough to walk into town 5 mins away. The local beach is at the bottom of the road a 2min walk, or the main beach is a 10min walk. The main shops, bars & restaurants are 5 or 10min away via a pleasant park pathway to the side/rear of the apar**ents. The apar**ent has not changed over the years, bed linens & towels desperately need an upgrade. To sum up, Lovely staff, great location, very quiet but rooms could do with upgrading / makeover.. What a find! These apar**ents are brilliant. Spacious, well presented and very, very clean and well looked after. Everything you need for a great stay and so comfortable. Staff are so friendly and all speak English if you have trouble with Spanish. Location could not be better, just a few minutes walk into the main centre with loads of bars and restaurants close by. Clean swimming pool and plenty of sunbeds on site if you dont want to wander down to the nearby beaches. Small onsite cafe/restaurant/bar selling local produce. I definitely recommend El Guarapo for vising Costa Teguise and will be returning myself.

Just returned from staying in these lovely apar**ents. Very efficient reception team. Contacted us before we went via WhatsApp to check in and to ask whether any extras were needed. On arrival we were upgraded to a 3 bed apar**ent which was very nice. It was a very quiet and relaxing stay and we could walk to all the restaurants and bars within 10 minutes. Daniella was particularly helpful and booked several restaurants for us. Breakfast was amazing and all cooked fresh and a fantastic choice. We will definitely return.

Perfectly located in between the beautiful beaches and square, these apar**ents are in a tranquil area and with a mosy welcome 11pm to 9am noise curfew. Lovely apar**ents with everything you need and despite no AC you just open a window and the sea breeze keeps the room perfect lot cool. It also has a lovely and clean pool with plenty of sunbeds, despite the few typical Brit’s who still insist in putting towels on for hours and not using 🤦‍♂️😂 The staff are all very friendly and helpful and overall we had a fabulous week. Thank you!

El Guarapo apar**ents reception were very informative, even before we got there they were sending me messages and I asked for restaurant recommendations and they were very helpful. You can check in before you get there and we were given a complimentary drinks voucher, it was just for beer or soft drink. The snack bar was very small, it had one beer pump which was Heineken and my husband had a pint and it was a bit flat so we didn’t bother again, although I got a cocktail a tequila sunrise 6.50 euros which was very nice. They sell large bottles of water but double the price of the shops 4 euros. There’s a Spar which was 5 minutes walk, we got drinks and rolls there for lunch and ate out for dinner in the many restaurants nearby. El Guarapo is a great location, quiet but not far from the lively busy parts. We enjoy a great curry at Namaste on the seafront and Peskera is a seafood restaurant further up the beachfront, which was also great and recommended by El Guarapo, we would definitely eat a both restaurants again. We also ate in Rock Cafe restaurant which was nice, we mainly had drinks in there though, as they had great live music. Beach/pool towels are 10 euros each deposit which you get back at the end of your stay, but they are a bit faded, tatty, probably in need of new ones. The pool was adequate size, but could do with a lick of paint, it was very quiet and chilled, there’s no Sunbed wars here, which was what I liked best, no worries whatsoever about getting a sun lounger any time of the day. They could do with more umbrellas round the pool though for shade. The apar**ent is fully equipped with everything you need, hob, microwave with an oven and there’s a filter coffee machine with filters if you want to buy filter coffee for it. We found a nice little French patisserie bakery just near the apar**ents called Damien, 23 Av. Del Mar and we would go for a walk and get a lovely coffee and a pastry in the morning. The apar**ents are a 10 minute walk from the main shops and bars etc, out the front door turn left and then there’s a little walkway round the back of the apar**ents which is a shortcut to the main area, you can take a longer scenic walk if you turn left out of the apar**ents and go down the road to the seafront and turn left and you can walk all the way on the promenade along the seafront but that takes about 25 minutes. We asked reception to book a taxi to the airport for 05:00 hrs the day before, the taxi didn’t turn up and luckily I had the foresight to ask the receptionist for hr number just in case as no one is there at that time in the morning. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and will be booking for next year in Costa Teguise, I would come back to El Guarapo apar**ents again and definitely recommend them, but I would like to try a hotel next time with a bit more going on. If you like peace and quiet then El Guarapo is for you.
