Relais Villa Alma

"We were visiting south Italy and our flights had an overnight stay in Rome. I ended up booking a room at Villa Alma for the night as it is close to the airport. The taxi from the airport dropped us at the entrance to the street instead of driving us to the front of the building. The driver was also rude and dismissive. It was late when we arrived. So about 10:30pm. Normally check in to Villa Alma closes at 9pm but the owner (Opi??) was waiting for us outside to guide us to the building. Since the taxi did not take us all the way to the door, we were not clear which building to go to but Opi waiting for us outside really helped. Opi was furious that the taxi driver was rude and also made us walk. When we told him what we paid for the ride, he told us he overcharged us and that was wrong. He said he was planning to go to the airport in the morning so he could drop us off as well. We went for a walk and had dinner. This is a nice neighborhood with a canal running through it. It has bridges over it. The view is nice. Also there are plenty of restaurants and bars open in very easy walking distance. We enjoyed our walk a lot. It seems this neighborhood has some festivals in summer so it might be good to go back. Anyway the room was clean, smelled good, well maintained and overall pleasant. We stayed at the room in the first floor (half a flight of walk up) Opi had a breakfast ready for us when we got up in the morning. He had juice, filled croissants, yogurt, coffee, tea etc. Overall I would say the breakfast was nice. He ended up driving us to the airport (along with somebody who works there) as he promised and refused to take money to make up for the bad treatment we had by the taxi driver the night before. We insisted but he refused it. Such a nice guy who made us feel good and happy to meet him. In general I prefer to not to write negative only reviews. But I made sure to write when somebody goes above and beyond. So in general this stay was definitely a good one."

"Great hotel and facilities very clean, breakfast was amazing and the views are stunning. Lovely to escape from the hustle and bustle of Garda. My only 2 complaints are there is no transportation to and from hotel so if you don’t have a car you have to rely on taxi’s!! €15 each way! The hotel should offer a shuttle service considering its so high up secondly charging €20pp for use of spa for paying guests is a bit unreasonable as the facilities are very basic other than that great hotel and staff were very helpful at all times, beautiful location 😊 "

"We were made to feel special in the beautiful hotel- the team were very helpful and met our every need - a very tranquil place to relax and enjoy lovely food and wine. Our room was E beautiful and the aircon was superb in 39 degree heat - the pool is just right . Plenty of loungers not too close together with a bonus of service for drinks and lunch by the poolside . The open air restaurant is excellent with huge sun canopy’s when needed. Again plenty of space and very attentive team - nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommend a stay here."

Мы пошли самостоятельно питаться, так что не можем комментировать еду, мы нашли 4 великолепные рестораны все в 5-10 минута прогулки за пределами Poiano. Высокая оценка всех из них, но La Laterna был нашим любимым. Мы наслаждались спа-самолетом (они делают семейный час за €5 на человека) все 4 из нас также имели самый красивый массаж. Апартаменты датированы, но очень чистые и кровати так удобны. Площадь бассейна огромна, и у нас никогда не было проблем с солнцезащитными кроватями, независимо от того, когда мы шли. Есть шаттл, который берет вас в Гарду каждые 30 минут, и возвращается одинаково. У нас никогда не было проблем с получением автобуса, я думаю, что было 2 бега, пока мы были там. Мы делали плавать и теннис, но есть также футбол, гольф, мяч Паддл, есть детский клуб и бассейн в течение дня. Есть ограниченный магазин, который открыт только 8am-10am (это действительно может быть с открытием на пару часов во второй половине дня, а также на мой взгляд). Абсолютно все выписывается в вашу комнату (напитки, теннис, спа, еда) абсолютно все, так что держите свои квитанции, чтобы вы могли пройти через пунктированный счет, который вы получаете, когда вы проверите, наш был пятном. Место и виды фантастические. All in all we have had a fantastic week and would definitely return."

Boffenigo - the Golden Hour

"After working with the TV broadcast of the European Athletics Championships in Rome, I took the train to Verona, where a taxi booked by Boffenigo was waiting to take me to the hotel at Garda. This is the sixth time my wife and I visit this fantastic place together with my brother, his wife, and another couple of friends who had arrived the day before me. I can never get enough of this wonderful hotel; it is a perfect base for excursions and adventures. We cycle a lot and the hotel is always helpful in arranging good bikes. They also have their own bikes and equipment, as well as facilities to fix and repair them. Additionally, there is an excellent bike room for storing both bikes and equipment. The food is fantastic and the breakfast is absolutely superb. We usually have breakfast by the pool. The outdoor pool is large and surrounded by a wonderful olive grove where you can sunbathe and relax. There is a small bar by the pool that also serves lunch. Next to the outdoor pool, there is also a large and fine indoor pool. The view from the olive grove is absolutely magical; you can see the entire valley where the town of Garda is located with Lake Garda as a beautiful backdrop. It is an amazing sight morning, day, and night. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful. The owner, Enrico, is the epitome of friendliness and very keen to ensure guests have a great time. Around the hotel, there are countless restaurants, attractions, and vineyards to explore. We will return here as long as we possibly can. If you want a really nice and relaxing stay, this place is absolutely superb."
