"I came to Great Trails Kodaikanal solo with my dog Puttu for a much-needed break, and I couldn't have chosen a better place. From the moment we arrived, Puttu was welcomed so warmly by everyone. He had the best time running around, sniffing the garden and exploring, and seeing him that happy made my trip. GRT is not just pet-friendly but really pet-loving! What touched me most was how considerate and courteous the staff were. Since I was alone with a pet and had to dine outside, they didn't make it awkward at all — they simply sent my dinner to the room with a smile. As a solo woman traveller, that kind of thoughtfulness means everything. The spa was the highlight for me. I took a body massage, a facial and a complimentary foot Apana ritual, and both therapists Emily and Alex were absolutely awesome. So skilled, gentle and professional. I even got to have Puttu lying right beside me during the session, which made it so relaxing and stress-free. The property itself is beautiful — misty views, very clean and cozy rooms, lovely garden and such a peaceful vibe. If you are looking for a safe, kind, and truly pet-friendly luxury stay in Kodai to just breathe and spend quality time with your fur baby, this is it. Thank you GRT team for giving us such beautiful memories. Puttu and I will be back!"

"Excellent stay experience at the Xanadu Birkenhead villa. Had booked the entire villa wiyh 2 bed rooms for the stay. Location is perfect, cut off from the town, excellent view of hillside, and in the midst of nature. Staff is very courteous. Cook is excellent and cooks exactly as per needs and on time. Games room was excellent for kids, common for both Xanadu properties. Hot water was available readily, heater/blower available in rooms though mightn't be adequate for the temperature. They had big umbrellas available for guests to take ***** for the daytime as needed. Birkenhead has their main office, and Meghadoot is a bit ahead. There is one covered car parking and other cars can park on the approach road. Overall, an amazing experience."

The property has lawns to play outdoor sports like cricket, football , badminton. Special mention for lovely food curated by Chef Angamuthu and his team. Breakfast and dinner spread both were fantastic and tasty. Definitely advisable to take dinner buffet . Sightseeing points like lake and coakers view point are 25-30 mins away."

"1. The property was selected because of its vicinity to the temple and hence was good. 2. Food - there was no food available . Even tea was not available on request. 3. Amenities- none to speak of. None of the power plug points were working except for one. Even charging of mobiles was a challenge. 4. Despite paying a premium rate for this Accomodation it was no way near premium. Very noisy throughout the night . There was a window covered with a light curtain overlooking a public space near the road . Hence privacy was also not assured. Changing of clothes had to be carefully managed! Being elderly doesn’t allow one to be careless. Hence please don’t promote such properties. "
