Edinburgh Leith Waterfront

Staff were excellent at check in , reception area was clean and tidy. Rooms were clean and tidy, close to shops and restaurants. Buses run frequently into Edinburgh and the trams are close by.

This hotel meets a general traveler's needs and expectations at a reasonable price. However, the adjacent restaurant, run by an affiliate, is mediocre.

The room was dirty and only one bed made up. The young man at reception was rude and unprofessional. We were told to go away and come back in 20 mins and a room would be ready. We came back an hour later and still no room ready. This was 6.45pm. Overpriced for the poor quality run down hotel and staff with bad attitude. If it wasn’t so late and I had an appoin**ent then I would have left. Horribly expensive over £140 per night. Meant to be a cheaper hotel but obviously wasn’t. Very bad experience.

This hotel has a lovely setting only a short bus ride to the city centre. very clean and tidy. It was more expensive than most premiere inns but the whole city was even more costly!

Following previous bad experiences with other providers we always look for a Premier Inn these days and as always were very pleased with our experience at Leith Waterfont. Made welcome, a clean and comfortable room with everything we needed. The Meal Deals at the adjacent Brewers Fayre were really good and the meals excellent. Lived up to our high expectations for a hotel of this type.

The room was okay, WiFi didnt work neither cell signal went through, informed reception but no avail

Be sure to ask (or insist) on a room with a sea view. Be aware there are other breakfast venues if Brewers Fayre doesn't appeal, as we discovered..

We booked to stay here, on the final night's stay of our roadtrip, as it was the closest hotel to the Royal Yacht Britannia. We'd just celebrated my husband's birthday aboard 'Fingal' the previous night and wanted to explore the dockside area a bit more, especially as we had complimentary tickets for Britannia. This Premier Inn ticked all the boxes for us regarding location and comfort, and having stayed in many Premier Inns over the years this one was especially great as our room had beautiful views of the Firth of Forth, so watching the sun setting and rising from our bed was a treat. The bed was as comfortable as ever, and this stay rounded off our 4-centre holiday perfectly.

Many guests here seem not to have the ability to read basic signage advising quiet areas. Perhaps staff should remind guests of this policy when checking in
