After a bad experience in an Airbnb, we were desperate to find another accommodation. George, the host of Hotel Ethrion, booked us in after a brief conversation. He could not be more helpful, showing us places to visit and restaurants, even gave us a history of the island of Syros. Room was very comfortable, views across the harbour from the balcony. Room clean and very comfortable bed. Highly recommended for a long stay, we were there for 4days. Finally, as the hotel has a very short walk from where taxis can drop you off, George loaded our cases on his scooter to take them to the port to catch our ferry. A final kind gesture from an excellent host who did everything to make our stay welcome. We will be back here when next in Syros.

This summer, my family and I had chosen Syros island to spend our vacation in.. which is an exotic incredible little island where people are really kind and are always helpful. After the research done, I had chosen Ethrion Hotel to spend our nine days stay . Honestly, the owner Georges is a nice man who helped us in some issues as well his son Dimitri and the lady Heleni who helps them. But some remarks must be given and taken into consideration: The studios we stayed in are not related to the Hotel since they have separate entrance doors and some photos given while booking aren't typical to the reality specially when it comes to the bathrooms that highly need renovation ( specially the old plumbing fixtures) and need to be insecticide because they are full of ants. During the first couple of days of our stay at the hotel, the house keeping wasn't bad but after that it became awful no change of towels no beds arrangements. However our stay wasn't that bad and was acceptable and calm . Thank you,

Excellent location with Amazing views of the city and port from our balcony. The owner, Mr. George, was very helpful with guiding us on where to go and what to see. Even though breakfast wasn't included with our room he offered us drinks and Greek coffee in the morning where we had a chance to sit with him and chat for a bit. Rooms may he a little small but are very clean and have amazing views.

We always stay here with George when we come to Syros. It feels like coming home. Spacious, spotless, very comfortable rooms with views and balconies. Lovely outside area. George really goes out of his way to make you feel at home and is always willing to help with anything.

We went last summer for vacation. Εverything was meticulous with every detail and the hotel staff was ready at any moment to serve us in whatever we asked for. If I could put titles on this such a perfect selection it would be: wonderful view, friendly service, cleanliness, excellent location

Very nice hotel and very nice management. Located close to the water and amongst the centre of Syros. Great room with fantastic views. The hotel and rooms are also very clean. Very hospitable staff. When we first arrived we were sat down and given a very thorough explanation of the island’s history and best places to eat/swim at. Highly recommend

Great view from the balcony and cozy side alleys around the corner. The hosts are very welcoming and friendly. George told us which places to visit and where to eat and he had some great recommendations. We came from another hotel which was "miraculously" overbooked. George and his staff did everything in their power to make our trip more comfortable. We loved it! ❤️

We recently had a 4 night stay here and loved it. George, the owner, gave us a warm welcome and we really appreciated his insights about the history of the island, in particular that of Ano Syros and the local Catholic population. He also gave us his recommendations for the best seafood restaurants in Ermoupolis. Our room was clean, tidy and nicely furnished. Every evening we enjoyed watching the sun go down from our balcony, accompanied by excellent Greek wine, before heading out for dinner. On our last day, when our ferry back to Piraeus was delayed, we sat out in the hotel courtyard and George very kindly brought us figs and grapes to eat. Great warmth and hospitality! Next time we're in Syros, we'll definitely stay here again.

I spent four nights recently at this place, visiting Syros for the first time, and I feel that this hotel was the best choice I could have made for the sight-seeing purposes of my trip. The hotel is very centrally located, providing very easy access to all the important and interesting parts of Hermoupolis, and also to the port. At the same time, it is nicely isolated from the most bustling parts of the town, giving a sense of privacy and intimacy. These last feelings are further accentuated by the great hospitality that is offered by the owners of Ethrion, and by their eagerness and enthusiasm to connect with you and share all their knowledge about the area and its history. In addition, the rooms are very comfortable, nicely furnished and clean, they provide pleasant balconies, and they offer great views of the city. Coming from Greece myself, I wish and hope that places like Ethrion would define the quality and the standard of Greek hospitality!

I’ve been visiting and living on the Greek islands for over 15 years and don’t want to count the number of hotels I’ve stayed in. Without question when all things are considered this is far and away the best place we have ever stayed. The property, the location,the management,the value when all added together make this the absolutely best place to stay on Syros. I can’t wait to return

Excellent hotel and great location. Very clean room. Beautiful morning sunshine for breakfast on the terrace. George is an excellent host, and very helpful with offering advice for places to visit and things to do. It's close to lots of shops and restaurants. Car not necessary to stay here.

As a first time in Syros Island beautiful place to relax to find such a beautiful hotel as Ethrion such excellent location,safe ,comfortable and clean ,the owner George wonderful person so helpful and helps you in everything you need and explains to you the history and everything about the Island,you cannot ask more to celebrate Easter and my birthday as well in such a beautiful place ,the view out of this world which was a memorable experience and will be back.Thankyou George Kai Euxapisto para poli and giving the sence and feeling like family and not to be forgotten forever once more Euxapiato. Terrific experience; great amenities in the room, fantastic welcome by superbly knowledgeable host/proprietor who provided us with all the information needed to enjoy our short stay in Syros. Highly recommended ideally positioned for local restaurants and bars and easy access to the superb beaches on the island. A short uphill walk from the ferry port
