L'hôtel est très élégant le personnel au petit soin, le petit déjeuner exceptionnel, nous avons adoré !

La ubicación del hotel es muy buena, con una vista muy bonita y con muchísimos restaurantes al lado en el puerto. Cuesta un poco llegar, eso sí, y es probable que en temporada alta sea muy difícil aparcar. El desayuno de notable. La ducha de cortesía el último día por la tarde es un detallazo para aprovechar bien el día de salida. El servicio muy atento.

La habitación me ha resultado pequeña.

So we have just got back today from a fabulous 4 night break . We stayed B&B as we are not fans of AI , not because of the food etc but we like to eat out in different places . The breakfast was great , lots of choice to be had and always someone available if you wanted anything. The staff all work incredibly hard . The hotel is in an amazing position overlooking the clear sea and we watched numerous cruise ships and other various boats coming and going every evening whilst eating out for dinner in the restaurants in Cala fonts .We had a superior room on the 4th floor which overlooked the pool. We was lucky to get the evening sun on our balcony . Our room was clean , tidy with everything you need . We used the local bus 02 to Mahón three times which is an excellent service & we then went to Cala en porter beach on another bus from Mahón which was so worth it for a few hours . Please don’t get put off with some of the negative reviews as you can’t please everyone. This hotel is a good choice, adults only and on a lovely island . Thank you to all the lovely staff .

It's a really excellent hotel with wonderful staff. Reception staff were really good room staff excellent dinning room staff also excellent friendly helpful and smiling. The was a good choice of food at breakfast time eggs cooked fresh along with small pancakes, sausages, bacon beans choiros no need to gone hungry there or at dinner various meats and fish freshly grilled. The only fault was that on 2 occasions I found the butter was past its use by date by 26 days then 7 days later butter with the same use by date appeared again. This was pointed out to the restraunt manager each time. I had a sea view, which I now realise was a mistake as the sun was only on my balcony til 11am there was a shortage of a plug socket near the large dressing table where the kettle was ans the lead did not reach.The swimming pool was bathed in sun most of the day with plenty of sun beds. The room was a superior room had every thing you could wish for except it was not very large. Bottled fresh water was delivered daily. Entertainment was on wednesday,fridays and Saturday's. The main problem was as I have a walking problem, it was the right hotel in the wrong location other than a short walk to a small nearby harbour with several restraunts es castell itself didn't have a lot going for it . I would do better research next time on location.

We had a great time at this hotel . The location of hotel is so easy to get about , the room was lovely water replaced every day which was handy the food was good lots of choice. The selling point of hotel is the roof terrace which was fabulous great views so peaceful watching all the ships go by . In my opinion the best selling point to the hotel was the friendly staff they do you proud from the restaurant to the bar had the best cosmopolitan ever loved the cocktail of the day think the staff create a friendly a**osphere which we loved will certainly return thankyou for a lovely holiday

This was our first visit to this hotel, the reception personal were very friendly and helpful. The room was 4star plus and the balcony had a lovely view of the pool , we were only bed and b the breakfast was excellent and the harbour views to die for, as were the restaurants only a short walk along from the hotel.We visited Mahon whcih is definately worth a visit 10 euros in taxi. the only comment on the room there could have been more storage space.

We’ve been to the hotel several times now and we will return again. It’s a great location for the local bars and restaurants and for going into Mahón. Once you know what to expect from the hotel it is a more enjoyable experience. Based on the latest reviews of May 2024, these would put me off booking this hotel but we know different. Yes, the roof top terrace is a major selling point for the hotel and yes, it was closed until Wednesday 8th May which would be a huge disappoin**ent. We’ve experienced this before and it is a let down. I suppose the only thing you can do is book a week or two later but if Jet2 (who we didn’t book through this time) are saying the start of May, it’s out of order. We booked all inclusive the first time we were at this hotel in 2018 and never booked it again for all the reasons everyone else has said. The food is not great but why eat there when there are a good selection of cafes and restaurants which are reasonably priced for good food only a 4-5 minute stroll away. You’re better off paying slightly less for the hotel at B&B rate and budgeting to eat out as the food in the cafes and restaurants is far better. I made a mistake this time and booked a standard room. There wasn’t a balcony and the view wasn’t great but the room was tidy and clean and there wasn’t any noise. I didn’t bring this up with the hotel staff but the view out of room 338 isn’t good but like I said, the rest of the room was ok. Also, comments on room size are a bit confusing, yes they’re not massive but you’re not living in there full time. I don’t know what prices people are paying but this hotel isn’t exactly overpriced unless some one is getting robbed by the travel agent. Looking back we’ve usually booked a superior room which we’ve never had a problem with and will be booking superior or more in the future. Comments made regarding the pool are pretty accurate to be fare. It is enclosed within the centre of the hotel and people have to move beds to try and catch the sun. It is also really quiet so, other than play some music out there there’s not much more can be done. People have referred to it as a prison exercise yard but I like to call it ‘Gods waiting room’ as it is deadly silent 🤣🤣 As with a majority of holiday hotels and night entertainment don’t be holding your expectations too high 🤔🤔 Overall, if you want the best experience from this hotel, book several weeks into the season or several weeks before the end of season if you don’t want to go peak season, DON’T book all inclusive as the food isn’t fantastic and don’t book standard room. It is unfortunate that some people have had a not so good experience in some rooms but we’ve always been OK.

We have just returned from a week all inclusive at the BARCELO HAMILTON Menorca. To say we were disappointed is an understatement. The selling point of the hotel was the skybar and jacuzzis on the hotel roof, on arrival we were informed this was closed for refurbishment . We took the matter up wlth the jet 2 rep who also said that they hadn’t been told of this , this was just the start , the rooms were tiny and in much need of redecorating, the grout in the shower was black and mouldy. We couldn’t get the safe to work , informed the reception who said they would send up someone to sort this . We are still waiting . The food left a lot to be desired , mostly it was cold and not much variety. Some evenings we had to eat out even though we were “all inclusive “ minimal drinks were included in the package . We had to ask several times to have milk and water replenished in the room as this was not done . We were offered to be moved but unfortunately no other hotels nearby offered all inclusive and the one we decided on was full. All in all considering we paid a lot of money for a weeks holiday we were very disappointed . The roof top opened the day before we left for home , there fore we were all squished up by the pool in the court yard chasing the sun every half hour , the indoor pool wasn’t as we expected . It was a plunge pool with a glass roof but still outdoors , therefore when it rained it was freezing cold , definitely not the exclusive all inclusive holiday we were expecting .
