Loire Valley Lodges - Hotel

A true haven. I highly recommend for anyone looking to resource themselves in nature, while also enjoying a unique luxury experience. The room was very comfortable. The private jacuzzi and sauna outlooking into the forest was absolutely divine.

Enchanting place to disconnect, listen to the birds, ride bikes and feel like a kid. Cabin design is a satisfying blend of rustic and modern luxury. Was wonderful to watch the first leaf buds of spring develop in between rain showers and rainbows. Only con in cabin: we found the bed to be uncomfortable as it seemed to be 2 twins pushed together with a padded gap, so not quite conducive to cuddling. Odd for a place that caters to couples (as opposed to families that might want the beds pulled apart). Maybe when the cabins were built, the prospect of hoisting king/queen beds into the cabins was daunting, but then I’d rather sleep on a futon. The restaurant service was ardently attentive and the staff was clearly doing their best, but we felt the menu to be overpriced for what it was.

The lodges are a good idea and work well unless it's really hot as no air con and broken fans. Lodge 2 gets over 40 degrees inside and is unbearable. We stayed in lodge 5 and this was OK and very clean but the deck is basic and not luxury by any means. The pool area is very good, the bikes are good to get around the immediate area but the roads are too busy and dangerous to go anywhere. The breakfasts were very good although not delivered till nearly 9am one morning. The woods have boar and deer in and you will probably see these at night and early morning. The worst part of the holiday was the Ardent restaurant. We had the garden taster menu with wine. This is probably some of the worst dish's I have ever had in France or anywhere else for that matter. Two of the courses came with a bowl of vinegar which added nothing to the dish. The bread was half a loaf and had been put in the oven to refresh which was fine but it was sliced and the burnt hard end was served as a slice. The pork was over cooked to the point of burned and as this was such a small sliver made it very dry and tough. The worst course by far was the pudding, this was strawberries and fried onion YES fried onion. One of the wines was so sour that none of our party could drink it. Believe me its not good despite the reviews. Overall we enjoyed our stay in the lodge but the restaurant was a joke. There are many good eateries nearby the best being Le Clapatis which was amazing.

A piece of heaven on earth and a paradise for nature lovers. The settings, the decoration of each lodge, the attention to detail along others are made for you to feel unique and blessed. Everything was perfect except for dinner on Day 1 where the Chef (and his cuisine) was below average (which is why we could not give this unforgettable experience a 5-star rating).

We had a lovely couple of nights here. So quiet and relaxing, a true luxurious and romantic place. We had the lodge with the hot tub which had gorgeous views of the pond (number 17). Slight issue with horse flies when walking to and from the main area through the woods but they didn’t like insect repellent so that worked well. One slight downer was we didn’t get asked if we wanted to book tables for dinner in the evenings and one night was fully booked with what must have been non resident guests. Instead they offered us the option of a picnic which we took and had out in the forest. Beautiful spot but the food was disappointing for the price. Such a shame. Put a bit of a downer on what was otherwise a perfect trip. When somewhere is as remote as that they really should contact guests to see if they want a table held for dinner. The night we did eat in the restaurant was beautiful and amazing food!!

This was the most wonderful stay I have ever experienced. The grounds from arrival were absolutely breathtaking, and everything you could ever imagine needing is there from the start. If you want to have a relaxing time in nature while still having it feel like luxury this is the place to go! We used the bikes and rode around the forest one afternoon, then we explored the garden which had delicious fresh strawberries while we were there. The pool was absolutely breathtaking and we enjoyed swimming and tanning there with the amazing lounge chairs. The restaurant was another incredible experience. It was high class without making you feel like you were going to use the wrong fork. The food was full of flavors and tastefully plated. The ambiance of the restaurant was very high class and we loved our stay!

My partner and I needed to unplug from the burn out of our busy day-to-day routine. We wanted to create a special weekend to reconnect. Loire Valley Lodges pulled all the stops and delivered! We lived ! These amazing artsy lodges are 20 minutes from the famous Chenonceaux castle. We were dazzled by the sensory experience. Truly! Everything has been carefully cured and thought of for your enjoyment. The owners here are behind every detail like we have never seen in the world. We travel extensively and nowhere can you find this level of passionate customer service. Ask and thy shall receive ! We walked the forest trails with the birds singing in our ears, rode the bikes around and outside the lush property gates to enjoy the sunflower fields, we swam in the gorgeous pool, and had a heavenly massage in the privacy of our comfortable artsy lodge. Absolutely, positively everything you eat, touch, look at has been carefully considered! Even the roses are oversized and smell divine ! The food is from the home grown “potager” for a farm to table fine dining experience ! Absolutely everything on site is a delight to your eyes, nose, ears, and an unforgettable feast to your mouth. Splashes of red, yellow, purple, with a soft embrace accompanies your every step. This is the antidote to our overcooked, sterile Disney World ! Come here to refresh, rejuvenate, reboot, feeeeeeeel! And try to meet Bertrand & Anne Caroline, they’re super heroes in the flesh, what an amazing couple. Give them a pat on the back. Hats off and bravo! I’ll be back.

This is a quite unique hotel experience which I would recommend to anyone. Wonderful secluded location, thoughtful and helpful staff throughout. The chalet's are individual and equipped with everything you can think of and quite a few things you didn't! Looking forward to a return visit.

Que dire de ce lieu.. tout simplement une parenthèse enchanteresse au milieu d'un océan de verdure. Le lodge : tout simplement exceptionnel... Nous étions dans le lodge NUDE décoré avec goût mais surtout que dire de la baie vitrée où depuis votre lit vous êtes immergé dans la forêt. L'impression que vous dormez dans les arbres. Nous avons eu la chance d'avoir la visite de quelques habitants qui résident à l'année dans ce lieu magnifique. Un jacuzzi sur la terrasse de notre lodge nous a permis de nous détendre après un long voyage. La salle de bain est aménagée avec goût et très fonctionnelle. Le tout d'une propreté irréprochable. Le petit déjeuner : l'originalité du système de poulie nous a beaucoup plu. La corbeille contenait l'ensemble des mets annoncés et tout était frais et de qualité. Le lieu : immense, surprenant.. ici et là on se retrouve avec des sculptures, un potager, une mare qui en son centre renferme 5 chênes majestueux et vous êtes accueillis par le concert des grenouilles... Le restaurant : originalité, découverte. Une superbe surprise à la fois gustativement que visuellement. Des mets de qualité cuisinés avec des textures extraordinaires. Tout simplement Bravo ! L'accueil : Professionnel et souriant. Notre lodge était prêt avant 16h et la personne à l'accueil nous a emmené directement au pied de celui-ci (PS : la lampe prêtée n'éclairait pas trop... un peu difficile de revenir en pleine forêt dans la nuit noire - mais bon nous y sommes quand même arrivé) Merci à toute l'équipe
