Hotel Sans Souci

the hotel is nice but the guest room is not. much space is not usable, for example, a useless corner right at the back of the door, another useless corner in the shower area. insufficient sockets. we were expecting a guest room with a little balcony, as seen on the trip.com website. it came out to be a room with an open kitchen area.

We had a five night stay at this hotel with friends, we were three couples and they had out our rooms together. We didn’t bother to upgrade our room and they were all fine, all different but all fine. Comfy beds! We used the monorail from the airport to get to Bologna train station ansd then hit a train to Gabicce. It was pretty straight forward and easy and really cheap. There’s a taxi rank at the station to take you to hotel which is 5 mins away. The staff were friendly at the hotel and the new bar man Bunny is super friendly and great at card tricks. We felt a little misled about the write up saying the hotel offers a roof top pool- this is for suite guests only and not everyone, although there was a private function one afternoon and the hotel was rammed so we asked if we could use of for an hour and they manager allowed us. The food selection (we were bed breakfast and evening meal) was great, not everything to our taste but there was plenty of stuff to chose from and you’ll never go hungry. The glass of wine with dinner was good too. The man front of house in the restaurant is really friendly too. The pool area is small but very nice. There’s a path down to the beach (there’s a few so find one that isn’t overgrown) and the beach is beautiful. It was very quiet at the beginning of May and the sun beds were only just being put out but I should imagine on a couple weeks it’ll be buzzing. We really enjoyed our stay.

Beautiful hotel and area, quite time of the year, all the beach's & bar's being renovated gonna look stunning, food was 90% great, Wi-Fi good pools ok staff fantastic, only one gripe the bottled water a meal times was out of the tap so the bottles smelt stale (3 euros) I'd would definitely return,

Had a fantastic time staying at this hotel. The staff were fantastic from th minute we walked in.The receptionist were all wonderful, all was spotless. Best of all, the food was lovely. Great choice for breakfast and dinner. The service from the catering and bar staff was 5 star. The room had wonderful views. the only issue was the shower cubicle on the small side. We had the transfer pick from and to the airport. The driver was brilliant .

What a delightful hotel with delicious food and great service. Our room had a wonderful sea view, was very clean and good storage (with a fridge and safe). The balcony was a lovely place to sit at any time of the day or night. We were on half board basis which was ideal. Breakfast had a great choice of fruit, pastries, meat, cheese, egg, bacon, juices, bread etc etc. You could ask for your eggs cooked any way. The evening meal is buffet style for the first course and dessert with three choices each for the second and third courses. We both thoroughly enjoyed all the meals we had. The Italian/Lancashire maitre de is wonderfully efficient with a great sense of humour. The waitresses and waiters are friendly and helpful with great service. The bar and reception are together on the ground floor, all the staff gave a warm welcome, were helpful at all times and enhanced our stay. The area is welcoming and comfortable. We went on the half day trip to San Marino which was well worth doing. There are four swimming pools, some people were braving the outdoor pools, I stuck to the heated indoor/outdoor pool which was perfect at this time of year. Gabbice Mare had largely shut for the winter but we found a different cafe each day for lunch. Lovely walks all round, especially the promenade. We thoroughly enjoyed our week and give thanks and appreciation to all the staff. One word of warning - the mosquitoes were on the hunt (they love my blood). Take your spray and use it night and day.

Thank you for a lovely relaxing holiday with you. Surpassed our expectations! The hotel is managed and run by two lovely ladies who made us feel so welcome and their supporting team were so attentive too. The beautiful hotel is situated in a perfect place, lots of rural walks nearby and the sandy beach is just a short stroll away. Our room was spacious, with a balcony that overlooked the sea, very comfortable and clean with an adequate bathroom too. Would highly recommend Hotel Sans Souci and hopefully we will be back again soon.

The staff at this hotel are soo lovely especially Lawrence and Claudio.The hotel is clean comfortable, the food is so so good and the rooms are spacious with a huge comfy bed and we had a great view overlooking the ocean. They even provided us with breakfast at 5 in the morning before we left. We had a wonderful week!!Enjoy your Chris**as break you all deserve it.

Excellent stay, altho’ the resort had “closed down” on 30/9 there were still sufficient local shops & cafes open for us to use, & the lack of crowds, coupled with the good weather made for an enjoyable week. The hotel is in a good position, slightly elevated, with sloping footpaths to the centre of the resort, a promenade, beach & small wooded trail from the beach (uphill) back to the hotel. Food & service at the hotel were second to none, with all staff being very friendly yet efficient, & lovely seating areas around the grounds to relax, & occasional evening entertainment outside, weather permitting. All in all, I would thoroughly recommend this hotel for couples or small groups, but not for children or rowdy groups as it is of a more gentile nature than would be appreciated by party goers.

Having read previous reviews on this hotel, I can thoroughly endorse them. It was a delight to spend 10 nights here recently. The hotel is family run and nothing is too much trouble for them in ensuring that you are relaxed and happy. Everywhere is spotlessly clean and comfortable, with panoramic uninterupted views of the sea and golden sandy beach. Comfortable beds, mini bar, toiletries, TV and excellent WiFi. Mealtimes were a delight with so much choice of fresh delicious food all served with a smile by the delightful staff. The Maitre d' Lorenz works very hard to ensure that everything runs smoothly. During our stay there was a great fun music night and we also had the chance to watch from our balcony, a marriage taking place on the beautiful terrace below. The owners and reception team were always ready to help with any queries we had. The only downside was when, due to lack of availability for our last 4 nights we had to relocate to another so called 4 star hotel further down the road, called Grand Hotel Michelacci which was a totally different experience !!!! see my review on that. Thanks to all the staff at the Sans Souci for an unforgettable holiday 😊
