"Great hotel. Between Gloucester and Cheltenham both we visited. The hotel was quiet at night. The food was excellent as was the service. There is a nice little pool and jacuzzi, also a steam room. Nice pub next door but we only had a drink in the large beer garden. Good dinner at Gloucester Services Farm shop only 10 minutes away."

"We have been to thia hotel a few times and always loved it. Hoovered on this occasion since it has had new owners we have found it has changed. The breakfast choice has gone right down, just to have loads of different choices however not much variety and didnt seem very fresh. The place felt a bit dirty lots cobwebs and on first entry into our room there was a sewage smell in bathroom. Best thing about visit to hotel was the burger that we had from the lunch menu 10 out of 10 but it was a little expensive for a burger so im glad it was nice has I didnt mind paying for it."

"The medieval courtyard, over 500 years old, is absolutely beautiful! The staff were incredibly welcoming and polite. The rooms were well-equipped and very clean, but the overall impression was one of antiquity, befitting its age of over 500 years. Overall, I was extremely satisfied! Excellent value for money! I would definitely choose this place again!"

"My wife stayed here & i just thought I’d check reviews to see if anyone else had the same experience she had. To my surprise, another guest did! Booked a room - paid in full - & when my wife arrived to check in they said she booked two rooms & the balance of the second room had to be paid in full before she got the keys to the room already paid for! No second room had been booked! My wife was over visiting her sick father at Christmas & had no other choice but to pay it. My wife showed emails - rang ‘*******’ which was apparently the provider it was booked with & even got the confirmation that nothing had been booked whatsoever- showed staff the proof - & was still given no other option than to pay. The entire stay she wasn’t even given the keys to the second room. My wife was extremely upset & felt ambushed in an already tough situation , about to see her father for the first time in a care facility. Absolutely awful."
