Sandy Beach Resort

Great service everything is handled with smile. Food diversity, polite staff, near to the beach so ot means great location. I'm visiting Sandy beach Resort for many years and I'm very satisfiet with everything that resort offers. I strongly recomand this hotel as it's child friendly as well and it is great place for families. It is worth saying that you are not just a number to them you are vaulable visitor... one example I can give when I spent some water and stuff from minibar and ot was not huge fee and they just said All good no need to pay... it just shows how serious they are and mos inportant thing for the resort is to delight visitors

I spent an amazing week with my family at Sandy Beach Resort in Albania. The staff is extremely welcoming and professional, answering all our requests on the spot. The room was large, clean and very well kept. The buffet was varied, with a good selection of salads and local delicacies. Three swimming pools and convenient location steps away from the beach provided a very relaxing setting for our vacation. There’s also a very nice beach bar. Great spot for families!

There is no transport, no tours for tourists, taxi is expensive, the best way is to rent a car, but you should do it before hand.

We were not allowed to bring anything to drink or eat into the hotel, not even water. The staff did not understand wether english or german. We tried for several days to get coffecups, glasses and chears enough to three people which we were in the room. We were told from Apollo that we would have three corse meal, but we got buffet which mostly was cold vegetables and bad quality food. We did not have all inclusive, but they did not have as much as three glasses of red wine for sale, day two. I have stayed at hotels all over the world, but never felt so not welcomed. And we did not act poor or at any time was drunk. I will not revommend this hotel.

Average food Average resort Average staff behavior Bracelets - They gave us some bracelets which were made out of letters and we had to have them throughout the day, they had a weak/letter material and did break easily. If you didn't have them they would annoy you to wear them. Also nowhere was mentioned that we couldn't have drinks with the offer that we had, but they said this bracelet color can't drink. Although the drinks were in the same place where the other bracelet colors were, same place, different rules depending on the bracelet color. Balcony - The rooms had a balcony which was separated with glass from the other rooms, the same balcony just with a small glass separation that one can bypass easily, couldn't sleep knowing that you're not safe. Parking - open parking inside the resort, the place is just adjusted to be used as a parking lot, can barely call it that.

We spent 5 nights at this very nice and clean hotel with friendly staff but please invest in a new food display counter for your chips, potatoes and pasta. (The one nearest the window) No one likes cold chips do they? I mentioned this to the staff everyday who happily made me a fresh batch but come on Sandy Beach Management team, sort this small problem and you have a winning formula there. I chose this resort for my late vacation, and I was not disappointed! I was here with my wife and two children, 3 and 6 years old. Everything was perfect, from the hospitality, the accommodation and service. All facilities were functional. What impressed me the most was the cleanliness. Rooms, pools, restaurant, garden, beach-bar, beach, sun beds, everything. We had chosen the all-inclusive package, and the food was plentiful, varied and very tasty. Sandy-Beach Resort exceeded our expectations. I would highly recommend it! Best Regards!

Before we decided to choose this hotel to be our holiday destination we'd done research. First impression was good, hotel seemed clean and the food was tasty. After 3 days my boyfriend started to feel bad. Firstly we tought that it was covid but later it turned out to be food poisoning. We hoped something would help, bought every medicines but it only get worse. If our stay would've been planned for longer, I am pretty sure that we would've ended up in hospital. Friday, Saturday and Sunday he laid on the bathroom floor. Almost whole Monday we spent in the lobby waiting for our transfer. When we finally arrived to Poland, my boyfriend got four drips to replenish electrolytes and hydrate. We were concerned about his kidneys. He was diagnosed with salmonella. To sum up I'd like to add that in our plane there was 7 people from the same hotel. 4of us had the same issues connected with food poisoning. We only ate at the hotel because we'd chosen all inclusive option. We also noticed that at the reception they had special medicines for vomiting and diarrhea. It's suspicious because it suggests that salmonella is common among their guests. What may be added. It was not comfortable for me as a woman to go alone to the bar. I heard that they watch me all day as I sunbath alone. I was asked also where my boyfriend is, why am I alone. One of the bartenders was rude, he did't want us to speak English because we came from Poland althought he was not even fluent-speaking our language.

To help you better receive my opinion, I would like to add that I am writing it as a parent of a 4-year-old child, we do not party at discos, we generally value peace. At the outset, let me just say that if you are wondering whether to take a hotel in Durres or in Golem, take a hotel in Golem! In Durres, a huge crowd, crowds of people, traffic jams. Golem is peace and you can get to Durres in half an hour by bus or 15 minutes TAXI if you want to see the city. Hotel: 4 stars for Albanian conditions actually correspond to the comfort of 4 stars. The hotel is small, intimate, but thanks to this, there was no problem with free sunbeds at the pool or on the beach (private hotel beach). Also, there were no lines in the dining room. Cleanliness: at a high level, it was hard to fault anything. Rooms cleaned every day, hotel parts also cleaned regularly. Pools: three pools, one with a children's pool (warm water), one for adults only, and a third indoor pool. Unfortunately, the water is freezing in the indoor pool, but a little tip for you - there is a shower with a mirror by this pool, you can dare to embrace it on the last day after checking out of the room, while waiting for transport to the airport. There were plenty of sun loungers at the pool, although you have to take into account that we were in the period June 6-13, i.e. before the strict season. Free towels against a card. It can be replaced even several times a day. Beach: less than 2 minutes away from the hotel, literally over the road (road not very busy). Beach clean, sunbeds in good condition, not broken, as is the case in other hotels, sandy beach, gentle descent to the sea, about a meter of pebbles at the bottom, and then a sandy bottom. The water in the sea in June is warm. Clear water. There is a hotel employee on the beach all the time who takes care of all things related to the beach (for example, he reacts when begging people appeared). Water hose to wash off the sand at the entrance / exit to the beach. Bars: one, at the reception. The second beach bar is just under construction, but this bar is not all-inclusive as agreed. Staff: very nice, not all of them speak English, but in general there is no problem to get along, be it at the reception or at the bar. In the bar you can communicate effectively even in Polish. Food: for a small, intimate 4-star hotel - I was positively surprised. First of all, food is GOOD - and this is the most important thing. Eating a lot, if there was a shortage of something, they added something quickly. Delicious soups, fries dripping excessively fat - that's the downside. Quite a large selection of meals, of course not the same as eg in Egypt in a 5 star hotel, but definitely sufficient! You can really eat something different every day. Ice cream free from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Drinks, drinks: and here another positive surprise, drinks like Cola, Fanta, Sprite, original bottles, which is rather rare in all-inclusive 4-star hotels. Delicious coffee.
