H10 Playa Meloneras Palace

A wonderful 5 night stay here in March 2024. We were half board and that was great for us for a short stay. Hotel is really lovely in a great position next to the promenade. With being HB, we had lunch at the nearby restaurants only a few minutes walk away. Breakfast and evening meal at the hotel were good, plenty of choice. The room was lovely, comfortable bed and even a set of scales! Cleaning and presentation of the hotel was of a very high standard. All staff were helpful and pleasant. We would definitely stay here again! Would highly recommend!

First time in Gran Canaria, and we stayed at this jewel of a hotel tho the west of Meloneras. Manicured gardens, magnificent hotel, wonderful staff and a great location 1.5 miles from the Maspalomas lighthouse and a number of shops and restaurants with Lad Dunas, just beyond. We went half board although there was an AI option. Bar prices were lower than the uk for those not on AI. A local commercial area (very quiet) below the hotel overlooking Playa de Meloneras, also had a number of good restaurants and a supermarket for other essentials. Highly recommended.

The hotel is very well kept. Its architecture and design is beautiful and tasteful, they kept buildings low and the hall is a masterpiece. You get stunning views everywhere, shelter from Northerly winds and the location is the last resort of the Meloneras stretch, so you only see ocean or golf club on the side. Quiet. They did a fine job with buffet and kids enter tainment. Nice soa. And if you are wondering whether the pools are heated, the answer is yes: 1 pool full heat, 1 even bigger one is half-heated, still enough. Just returned from a fortnight at this hotel. It was a lovely clean hotel in a gorgeous location. Little things let it down, no tea and coffee facilities in our room, apparently because it wasn’t one of the renovated rooms!?!? We could get a kettle but would have to buy tea coffee and milk from the shop! Or pay €4 a day for a coffee machine. Never stayed in a 5 star hotel with no coffee facilities. The lining of the main pool was awful underfoot, badly needed redoing. The snack bar by the pool only starts serving food at 3.30 pm so you have to go to the restaurant if you want to eat before then. Smokers have 3 designated areas within the whole hotel which consists of 2 benches. Nowhere to sit and have a drink and smoke if you wish so you are up and down to these areas. Also no smoking on your balcony so have to go down to a designated area to be able to have a cigarette. Again not important to a lot of people but if you smoke it’s a pain. We were only given a bowl of nuts once in the piano bar with our drinks, we were told to take snacks from the mini bar, which was only refilled every other day. But on the whole the staff, cleanliness and location were excellent. Would we return, no. This hotel does not compare to 5 star hotels we have stayed elsewhere. More 3/4. The building works didn’t cause disruption to us which was something we were worried about.

I arrived at the hotel for check-in with my husband and my 14-month-old baby and had to wait 20 minutes for someone to assist us. There were several empty tables, and the staff were staring at their computers as if we weren't there. Eventually, I approached the desk and asked to check in. Another unacceptable issue for a supposed 5-star hotel (which I would rate 2.5 stars at best) is the lack of an elevator in the parking area. We had to carry our luggage up the stairs—terrible! When we finally got to our room, it looked like we had paid for a bus station hotel. Everything was very old (the previous 4-star hotel we stayed in was much better). In the restaurant, there's an older waitress with short hair who picks and chooses whom she wants to serve. I noticed she only served tables that ordered wine, likely for tips. This was very unprofessional. The next day, I went to the baby pool, which is supposed to be heated. The pool was ice cold, so I couldn't even take my baby in. At night, it was impossible to sleep due to the unbearable noise. I couldn't wait to leave this place. The only polite staff were the towel attendants and the housekeeping staff, who were always smiling. The rest seemed underpaid and dissatisfied. The worst part was at checkout. The receptionist obligatorily asked, "Was everything alright?" My husband responded, "No," and she didn't even bother to ask what went wrong. I found this very poor. The least they could do is ask, "What didn't you like?" In summary, I will not return. I genuinely don't know how this hotel managed to get a 5-star rating. Terrible!

We are here now 23rd May. We read some negative reviews due to the building work. No need to worry! It is not intrusive and there are plenty of quiet spots around the pools. We have a superior room and our son has a standard double. Ours has been recently renovated and our sons is a little older but still very good. We have stayed previously in both Lopesan’s. So our thoughts on H10? Staff are all very nice and friendly. The hotel is spotless. Rosi the star room lady is super as are the guys in the outside restaurant. In fairness they must be really good to standout from the very high standard across the whole team. Food is excellent and lots of choice in the buffet. Meat eaters Veggies and Vegans all taken care of. Lots of sun loungers and no early rush as the pool guys will remove towels. Hooray. We have found half board is fine as you can walk off to get lunch or swap dinner for lunch. Our only perhaps slight note is they could offer more activities yoga etc and the entertainment is ok. Would we return? Absolutely.

The hotel is absolutely spotless in and out location is excellent. The staff are incredible. Is it a five star hotel definitely not? The rooms are very basic No coffee or tea making facilities unless you want to pay €4 a day for a coffee machine Towels are not changed every day if you want the towels changed daily extra cost Minibar is refreshed every other day never been to 5 star hotel like is before If you’re smoker, there’s only three designated areas where you can smoke Have spoken to quite a few holiday makers that have been here numerous times and said since the new management have taken over it’s gone downhill

Hotel grounds are spotlessly clean, staff around consistently cleaning. Plenty of sunbeds around so no need to do the 8am towel drop! Pool areas very quiet & relaxing. Rooms are very good with fridge. Really big comfortable beds. No English tv channels apart from bbc news and sky news. You would have thought at least min bbc channels. We were half board but ate out in evening. Breakfast was OK, had everything you could ask for. Weather was fab. Location of the hotel is right at the other end of promenade, about a 25 min walk away from the main sands, although there is a small beach right by the hotel, we preferred the main one with bars/shops etc. We had a lovely day out on a catamaran, coach picked us up on time. Hotel seemed quiet even though we asked for a late check out they said no they are fully booked. But left luggage in reception and spent a couple of hours round the pool. Taxi to/from airport €50 each way if you don't fancy sitting on the transfer coach. Yumbo center in playa del ingles is a fun night out!! 3rd time to Gran Canaria, still love it.

This was our first visit to this the hotel and melenores as a destination itself. It certainly did not disappoint and we will be back in the future and have recommended the hotel to many others already. Everything about the hotel is well run, from the arrival process through to checking out and being provided a complimentary room for the afternoon once checked out due to a late flight. With a few exceptions the staff at this hotel are impeccable, they all genuinely seem happy and want to be there to help and make your visit what you would expect for a hotel of this standard. The main buffet restaurant is the best all inclusive food we have ever eaten at any hotel around the world and the al la carte restaurants are just as good, so if you have the opportunity to visit do so as the food and service is second to none. We love the no reservation of sun bed policy and the fact they implement it. So many people ignored it but soon found out the hotel really does mean no reserving. It makes for a far more relaxing holiday. We really did love this holiday and i cant recommend it enough. We look forward to visiting again soon.
