"The hotel is in a perfect location at the heart of the village, with parking; ask for directions for best way to access the hotel and avoid very narrow roads - arrival may be tricky. We stayed several nights in the "Jaune" room on the 2nd floor (3rd level for US); no elevator. The bedroom was spacious with a small charming private patio, with a table and chairs, overlooking tile roofs toward the castle, perfect for morning breakfast; the room has a machine to make coffee and tea. The bathroom was on the small side but convenient and well equipped, including a minibar/refrigerator. Caution! there is a step down between the bedroom and the bathroom not obvious to see the first time - could be better marked. To our surprise, the content of the minibar was included in the cost of our room, including a bottle of champagne, beers, water etc. A new bottle of water was offered every day, which was well appreciated during the June heat wave. Wished the refrigerator was a little colder. We would definitely go back to this hotel."

"Everything went wonderfully well at the Grand Cordy farm. We stayed with Béatrice as a family for a long weekend around Grignan. The place was perfectly suited and very well located. Béatrice is really very accommodating because being so many we were also able to add vans and tents and everyone participate in the delicious meals! Special mention for the homemade whipped cream, the rabbit with olives and the red wine! The whole family recommends without hesitation."

"The grounds are lovely. Our room had some fine features, but a few annoying ones, like the 16 or 18 step access. While the room had many good points, such as walk in shower, good bathroom lighting and a firm bed, they were squeezed into rather tight space. The bed was wedged into a secion that only allowed getting up on either side sideways. There were very few hangars,, corrected by the staff with some rather cheap plastic ones. The sink drain needed a shot of Draino (which we didnt mention, but housekeeping should correct. A rather cheap bathroom waste basket should be replaced, it keeps falling over. Very nice and helpful people on the front desk. Two made a number of calls for us to secure a hairdresser appointment for my wife on short notice. The breakfast was a little weak for a 4 star hotel. Most of the pastries were not up to par. Other than the restaurants, we didn't use other hotel facilities. The price was a little high for what we experienced. NIce town, nice people."

"I'm writing a review for the sister property, Le Jardin Secret, that has the same owners. They were exceptional hosts, and with their level of care for their guests I am sure La Vie de Chateau is just as amazing. They were attentive to every detail, answering every question, making recommendations, booking reservations for us, even driving us to a restaurant! When I mentioned the pillow was too thick for me, they bought me another pillow! Each day they provided a wonderful breakfast. Most of all they are so warm and kind. The property itself was immaculate and has its own garden and pool. Staying there was our favorite part of our trip to France. Grignan is a quiet, charming village surrounded by lavender fields and with delicious restaurants and is very worth a visit. La Vie de Chateau hotel is at a great location steps from the Chateau de Grignan so I'm sure a stay there is just as wonderful!"
