"The lake view was stunning from the room at top floor. But the room was dimmed and lighting was insufficient. The room at ground floor was not well maintained. The shower was blocked and the wind blind facing to front garden was out of order. Although the room provided with kitchen, the facilities was not well equipped."

"The room has a bad smell from the sewer. The room is smelly. The service attitude is poor. The parking fee for two hours is 10 euros, which is much more expensive than the parking lot next door."

"The hotel is very noisy; deliveries start arriving at 6 AM. The rooms facing the street are loud until late in the evening because guests and passersby often have loud conversations on the street. It's impossible to sleep with the window open because the noise echoes in front of the hotel. The carpet is very worn out, and the whole hotel smells strongly of smoke, food, and a general lack of ventilation. We also had a thick shag carpet in our room, the same as in the breakfast room! This is truly unacceptable in a hotel room because it's impossible to keep it properly clean. The management is very unfriendly, which unfortunately affects some of the other staff as well. We were very glad to leave the hotel and would not return under any circumstances. We travel a lot and enjoy it, but this hotel is not one we can recommend."

Они всегда смотрели на нас и спрашивали, нужны ли нам дополнительные полотенца или же дети хотели горячего шоколада. It felt as if it was really important for them that our family feels like at home."

"The hotel is lovely and very posh by comparison to other hotels within the Black Forest area. Pros and cons are as follows Pros: - close to public transport links to which is helpful if you travelled by train from the airport like us. - very nice facilities which include two pools, a gym, and sauna/steam room. - the food is very good quality and the selection is decent too. The full board option offers you breakfast, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner. - you can hire mountain bikes for free or hire electric bikes for €30. - children’s area with toys, PlayStation etc. - hotel is situated close to local hiking routes and the tourist tax also allows you to use public transport for free if you care to venture further, outside of Hinterzarten. Cons: - the full board package is good but there is definitely room for improvement. This should include children’s meals without an additional cost, and the drinks offered throughout the day should also be included - we were charged €4 for tap water! which quite frankly is outrageous (especially after querying this and still being told we have to pay for this) - given the location, the hotel attracts a lot more local and couples, so you can find yourself a little isolated given as a family at times. Fully appreciate that is not the hotel’s fault but it is more of an observation. - rooms should really include air conditioning - we had some very hot weather which would have been a lot more comfortable at night with this addition. - the lack of children’s bikes meant we couldn’t fully take advantage of these as a family which is was disappointing. Overall the stay has been very pleasant but given the amount you are paying each night, there are a lot of areas that can be improved and something I’ve found to be a pattern with the reviews on this platform."

"I stayed 5 nights. The hotel is centrally located in backsarden. The room was large enough and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and there was a bottle of mineral water on the room at the arrival. Also, you could make the water cooker tea and coffee. Breakfast was good and sufficient. The hosts were friendly and premature. I can recommend the hotel with black forest charm, hang some pictures in the staircase, at least warmly."

Naturion Hotel Hinterzarten

"About a 12min walk to the train station. Cute little town! Gave it 4 stars because the bed’s mattress was very flat & it was almost like sleeping on a sofa bed - pretty uncomfortable. But the room was really cute, very clean. There was cheese, cold cuts, yogurt & a very tasty bread for breakfast. A few veggies, too. We arrived around 4p & the door to the hotel was locked - almost looked as if no one was there! Rang the doorbell twice & the manager guy came to open it. Overall a good 1 night stay for the Christmas market, which was amazing!! There’s another hotel that’s pretty close to the train station, too. I would’ve preferred to stay closer, actually. There was GlüHwein (for $2.50 euros) & other small wine bottles/ drinks - on the honor system."

"My husband and I stayed here for one night to visit the popular Ravenna Gorge Christmas Market. The hotel was easy to find, had parking out front, conveniently located and quaint. We booked a small room for our short stay. It was a tight space, but cozy. The hotel has a lot of character and the breakfast was perfect to fuel us for the day. We took the Hinterzarten shuttle to the Ravenna Gorge market and the hotel was decent walking distance from the train station/shuttle pickup spot. We enjoyed walking around Hinterzarten from the hotel as there were many cute shops nearby."
